1st post on this thread Drew. Zack has it all updated with the systems, beacon locations, rally points, coordinates and messages
Thanks all - and CMDR Baton who PM'd me - much appreciated!
Cheers,
Drew.

I'm still in the bubble, been away for my daughter's b'day the last few days, so have no thad a chance to play, but I can put in a day of searching, if you give me a region you've not been to, I can probably knock over 10 - 20 odd systems before I head out to get all the data from all the sites in one hit.
Z...
Best guess, whichever rift thread was current during the beacon CG.I am struggling finding beacon discoverers, if anyone can point me in right direction I'm happy to make short list for Drew, he is busy writing the book, so we may at least help him bit more than send him to a post with tonnes of information![]()
Folks,
Has someone maintained a list of each of the discoverers of the abandoned sites and beacons? It would save me a bit of time going through this thread. I'll be writing this bit up over the next few weeks so want to ensure I get it correct.
If someone could assemble that data for me it would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Drew.
I've not been performing a systematic search - just taking the longest range delivery mission available to a new system - so I've bounced all over the place.
However, the last week I seem to have spent mostly in Fed space around Aganippe, so if you head for Imperial regions or better yet Alliance systems then you'll keep our overlap down to a minimum.
Best guess, whichever rift thread was current during the beacon CG.
It is part 3 around page 400 (mid November) but it is hard to tell who was first etc, I do not want to pick up wrong person and strip someone from their achievement
Was there ever a list of beacon discoverers?
Could it have been the people who got first discovery on the bodies orbited by the beacons? Or might it have been someone who didn't sell their data straight away? I got out to Hawking's Gap pretty quickly but was not first discoverer and more tags were appearing in the days I was out there. I looked for other beacons and also Earth-like Worlds (unsuccessfully) and after finding several Ammonia Worlds (and frustrated by problems with my laptop being unable to generate surface geometry/textures for landable worlds) I decided to head home and do something else. Not that I'm aware of. Too many people seemed to have overlapping finds on many of them, particularly in the rift. I think gap and conflux could be worked out though, but even there I have seen different attribution for 1st discovered for some.

That works, been meaning to get some imperial rep anyway, will do Alliance stuff too. I'll be back in game tomorrow, will post anytbing I find.

Damn, and I just killed myself in Conflux rushing to see the megaships... probably there is one there too :/
There might be some in already-inhabited systems that wouldn't show up from looking over the Galaxy Map but that list is interesting:the patch notes describe 32 "deep space" asteroid bases:
So far they seem to be scattered all over the galaxy, either inside or in close proximity to popular nebulas (Orion, heart, thor's helmet, witch head, cone, rosetta all found so far)
There might be some in already-inhabited systems that wouldn't show up from looking over the Galaxy Map but that list is interesting:
Is there really one in Cone Sector? That sector is surrounded by permit-locked NGC 2264 Sector, so is that permit lock gone? Or is it only nearby?
