XB User Turned PC Player

I started playing Elite on Console when it was first introduced to the Game Preview Program. Loved the game so much, I built a PC to play it.

I just finished said PC this past weekend and after only a few hours with it, I am never going back. The menu's are instant. Rez looks so amazing. Sounds much better. All around, a more immersive experience.

I have since uninstalled the game from my console 50% thru Federation Midshipman Rank and my Sol Permit. Starting over never felt so good!

I do say it with a heavy hint of fun involved but when my 3 year old pc (at the time) could still run games at a higher res and a faster speed than the latest "console" you have to think it may be true...

Maybe Scorpio will do something cool. Who knows. For now, Console just isn't close.

I take the view that consoles are good for driving games, but if you want to do anything else, use a PC, especially if you need a wide range of button options that doesn't involve dislocating your own fingers to press multiple buttons at the same as trying to use two little stick things.

That said, I do have an XBone, but I only use for racing when my brother-in-law is up from Wales. Rest of the time, my 6 year old uses it for lego games.

But... each to their own :)

I have two XBox Ones. I am a Destiny (Bungie) player. Still have a large group of players who play it together. I will play Destiny 2 on Xbox One because my friends are not planning to build PCs. I am on the fence over purchasing D2 on PC as well.

Mod can delete this thread if it causes issue. Just expressing my feeling after playing XB and PC. Being a PC Gaming noob, didn't know this topic struck nerves. IMO its no different than someone posting how much they enjoy their LED tv over their old LCD Tv. Not meant to step on toes. Just an opinion.

At the risk of being shot, PCs are just better. If your a casual gamer you can get a good console for a fraction of the price but the PC is just so much more customisable, powerful and enjoyable imho :).

Not had a console since the Master System.

In case you didnt know, it is possible to ask Support for a one-time transfer of your account from console to pc.

I priced up a PC but in the end didn't bother. So easy to just hop on the console and play from the sofa. Keep your PC, console all the way :D

I didn't know. Jokes on me. Paid $60 again. Oh Well. FD can use it to add to the game. Is it too late?

EDIT: unless i am missing it a google search says you cannot transfer XB Account to PC.

I believe they will do an in-game transfer of your credits, from your XB1 account to your PC account, but that's about it. You still needed to buy the PC version of the game and you won't get your rank and rep transferred.

You're living my dream! The planets look like plastic balls on Xbox but PC looks so nice! Enjoy!
