ED Steamcharts "4,000" active players. Pathetic

Steam being unpopular for Elite as shown in every poll aside, OP do you have any idea what the word "concurrent" means? You should really educate yourself on what the graph you are looking at actually represents. Hint: It isn't active players.

Steam charts, non-Steam charts, I don't care. I just know this game needs a shot in the arm or a merciful shot to the head.

Yeah loads of people are beta testing for sure!

Um, yes I've been doing beta testing, but not multi-crew, which doesn't interest me at all; that is, until NPCs are available for the spare seats. In particular, the improved SRV scanner is much better. I've reported the few issues I've found in the beta.

Actions: taking time out of your day to visit this website, creating a new thread, coming back repeatedly to participate in the discussion.
Words: This game is pathetic.

Remember, between Actions and Words, which of these two speaks louder? Between the fool and the person who follows the fool, who is the more foolish? Between the pathetic game and the person who comes to the pathetic game's forum to remind us how pathetic it is, which is the more pathetic?

Hanging around a forum for a game that you believe is dead is about as pathetic as calling an ex who already broke up with you. You're embarrassing yourself.

For a game that's all about a massive universe, unexplored worlds and bounty hunters and traders and explorerers.

There's not a whole lot of people in this universe.

The game fell from a 11k average base, which is meh, down to barely 4,000.

And yet Frontier reduces and needs and adds timesinks.

I'll give them credit, this game is a sinking ship but it's not going down as fast as I thought it would.

But that ten year plan they had for ED would be a miracle if it even made it halfway.

I hope the player base collapses just so FD can wake up and save this game because it does have potential, it always has and will, but they never utilized it.

There was never a 10 year plan to begin with, they just said they hope to see Elite live long enough and support it to see it mature in 10 years from now but let's be honest, Elite will be long forgotten when Star Citizen is released or when someone else take this niche market.

Steam is not indicative of player base, just saying. ;)

I don't play through steam I gave frontier 100% of my money and will continue to do so.

Side note I did screw up with planet coaster as I purchased through steam. :(

To be fair the way things are going Homo sapiens could be long forgotten when Star Citizen is released.

Just an example : Mass Effect Andromeda took 5-6 years to make by a studio already established and with proper funding which was not the case for Cloud Imperium Games. Star Citizen has been in development for about 3-4 years if you don't take into consideration their 1st year. They spent most of the time on hiring & recruitment, investment and establishing their studios.

I'd say Star Citizen is doing incredibly well, it's not like you can't test/play the game. You can already download it and get first hands into the game and see it evolve.

Hell, they have their own fans convention "Citizencon" and hired actors like Mark Hamill for SQ42.

And also, remembering the comparative scope between Star Citizen and Mass Effect Andromeda, I think its safe to say CIG ain't doing too badly.

They have 2 studios and 2 Subsidiaries with over 600 employees, I'd say they are doing much better than Frontier.

Mass Effect Andromeda is crap

You missed the whole point of my argument, whether or not Mass Effect is a good game or bad game is irrelevant.
