The title is all wrong. Billionaires don't fly the lowly Anaconda. They fly Cutters or Corvettes.![]()
except... the billionaires that fly cutters and corvettes earned their money the hard way because they had to rank grind to unlock the ships!

Quince rank exploit ... Another fine example of Fake News !
Some of us did it before 2.1. I've earned my Duke at HIP 10716, while it was about "bomb generator" and not about courier missions.
And believe me, it was a LOT and LOT and LOT of GRIND.

This is not an exploit that is just fake news !Excuse my ignorance but what's the Quince rank exploit?

But what you could do is get 20 planetary scan missions from an imperial faction and scan one base data link to finish all 20 missions at once.
Not only will you get the 20x credits all for one scan you will get 20x the imperial rank progression reward.
For added none exploit points you can then scan the 19 other data links which are created in the exact same spot as the one you just scanned.
So you can get 20x the amount of engineer data from Fdevs brilliant idea of having the mission create 20 3d objects ontop of each other.
Remember because this is not an exploit. It means Fdev created the mission to work like this.
If the mission wasn't created to work in this way then, it is an exploit and they would remove it and remove the exploited gains.
Hope that helps.
Im curious does anyone here play the game without one of the big three ships?
I know I don't
Oh God, not again...
OP - Please do as this fine man suggested, and stop pushing your "challenges" on those who do not want them.
Git Lost.
To be honest, though, it does sound like an exploit. Surely FDEV's intention would be that you complete 1 lot of scans for 1 mission (not 20 at once)? Sounds very similar to the massacre missions which I think FDEV fixed? (I don't really know because I haven't done them)
Hello <REDACTED>,
Thanks for getting in touch with us regarding a gameplay query.
Whilst we do not recommend stacking missions as it may cause some unfortunate side effects, we do not consider this an exploit within the game and it is not against the rules to do so.
It is possible that we may make changes in the future to stop this type of behavior and to stop players approaching missions in this way but for the time being it is within the games rules to do so if the player so chooses.
I hope this helps to clear up any confusion but if you have any other queries, feel free to respond to this ticket and we'll be happy to provide further assistance.
Kind regards,
CMDR <REDACTED>

It's one of those weird verbs:
You farm
They exploit
I blaze my own trail

Isn't that what people do in the real world to succeed in business? Find a niche and then work it to maximise their returns?
I would suggest the answer to those questions would be "yes" otherwise it is a business that is doomed to failure.

I agree with the OP. ED is becoming less "elite" than most space sims on the market. I recently sold my conda and bought back my T9. It made me sick to fly this ship, better at trading than biggest trading ship in game, better at exploring than best dedicated explorer ship in game, invulnerable to almost any threat. Also cheaper to fly across the galaxy than driving my car around the block. Solution is to bring back old running costs and even double it as a bonus. All problems solved. 1) No more CG's with 1000 condas/vettes/cutters and 5 type9s... No more cutters as best trading ships because running costs would make the profits smaller than trading in... trading ship. As of now half the galaxy is flying in biggest and most expensive ships and imo... it's . So high running costs would make it less profitable. Chosing right ship for the job would be something to consider. Cutters, vettes and codas with more representative roles... "look! I brought a cutter because I can afford burning 1000000cr every minute!" Carefull balance would be required to make it work as intended but it could make the game much more interesting and (OH NO!) a little more complex (taking running costs into consideration while planning trade routes). Still... it will never happen because of "Iwinbutton" commanders. Shame that they can't find another game for themselves instead of spoiling the one that migh have been something different.
4200 hours, Morbad? Not too shabby. I haven't looked in a while but I know that I had around 2400 the last time I looked. I have a bunch of ships including an Anaconda, but I hardly ever fly the old girl unless I'm going mining or heading out on another exploration trip. 99% of my gameplay is divided between an FdL and an AspX, can hardly pry me out of those guys. I suppose it would be fun to own a Corvette or Cutter, but I've really never felt compelled to work for one.
