THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

I have to agree with you on this point, as a person that reads these forums quite often to keep up to date with things, im also not actually helping much, mostly because i dont have the right skills other than being able to go to point A and scan it and report my findings, the same goes for the Alien archeology and other mysteries thread, though i have been more active over there as i can actually get my teeth in to some of the stuff they do.

For thos out there that have no idea about the rift or the Alien archeology stuff but have seen the vids of it all, like CMDR Zadian Lichtfrost said they need more info to be able to make a choice.

The info is out there, the snag is that we cannot figure out what is relevant and what is pure coincidence. I've been looking at the sol system and what might happen there, but I've been wrong every time I tried to say anything, so I would not put much stock in my ramblings because we/I don't know what the devs consider worth digging up and putting in. IE: Phaeton is a large asteroid comet that orbits in the sol system, we had a Galnet report about an asteroid "disappearing" recently, and they've just introduced ships that have asteroids as part of the structure. So would having an asteroid slap into Mars and wiping most of the Feds Hierarchy suit anyone?
Tinfoil? Probably, but we need a sol permit, and it's a good place to wrap up the arc (for now). Either there's something big behind all this, or it's a pew-pew fest, if the latter, then a lot of people have wasted a lot of time for nothing, and have every right to get salty. (I'm not gonna get salty, I'll just ignore any lore in the future)

Hmm, never had one, is the jump range this bad?

Not that bad, I took an FDL to Beagle Point. :)
And I will probably take it for this event too, although I read somewhere that 'minimum 25ly jumprange is needed'. Not sure about the reasons though, star density is surely not that bad... the FDL can dive&scoop very fast, so it isn't that slow if keeping up with Salome is the issue.

I guess that SDC will do what they always do, for me that's clear. But they're not invulnerable at all nor do they have the very best fighters, yes, many good ones, a few cracks, ok, but the non-SDC fraction for sure have them in the same amount if not more then them. What I fear more is that SDC is able to arrange in a better way to achieve their goal (as supposed in killing Salomé if this should be the case) in the opposite to the RP-faction and/or Salomé supporters.

I honestly hope SDC comes across a Thargoid armada so they are forced to combat log :p lol

I came accross a few griefers, but I don't know whether any of them were SDCers. Rinzler on the other hand certainly appears to be a decent fellow. :)
Actually I was able to escape engineered Corvette wing interdictions with my Cobra MkIV following his instructions in "how to trade in open".

Alright someone allay this concern of mine:

Come April 29th, who's actually going to provide an opposition? I fail to see the point of it without any, and I'm yet to know of any.

E: and also, instancing? good luck boys.

Didn't know there was an asteroid base out here.

And a very misty planet!

Perhaps the questions should be... why is it starting in 46 Eridani... why is the path ending at Sol (if that's the end point, assuming I've not misunderstood), why is it happening, and what is the catalyst for it starting?
