Yes, but only in the XBox version.
Try to imagine a company outside of the tech industry including a remark like that in a product update. It's not a massive deal, but it suggests that Frontier may be gradually succumbing to the deadly game dev temptation to imagine their customer base as a captive audience who will take what they get and like it.
PR ain't easy at the best of times. The least you can do is avoid making it even harder by directly insulting the people who care about the product enough to spend time discussing it, making suggestions and reporting bugs.
I'm not in the UK either, but if I was I wouldn't trust the NHS to trim my nails.
I had to have a little chuckle when I saw this fix, although I'm sure I wouldn't be impressed if it happened to me.

That sucks. I hope FDev has it as showstopping critical priority.
I'm having to do a complete reinstall since my files got corrupted with this update it seems. Not nearly as bad as your situation, though.

Don't hit cancel! I think that is how I corrupted my game. On a fresh install and I'm sitting at the same point now, too.
I checked in task manager and it is doing....something
EDIT-7 minutes past: Still waiting...dug into the Win64 folder in my game installation and found the .part and .progress files are still updating. Size is consistent, though.

I work in IT so my ability to interact like a normal human is already below average on a good day.
If you were using supersampling, you were not rendering at 1920x1080 even if you were displaying at it.
I wish that were true. The galaxy map is different to that of 2.2 regardless of the pointer fix.
In 2.2 if you zoomed out and there were any systems with bookmarks, engineers bases or systems with friends in them, you could still select them from very far away. For some reason you can no longer do this. Makes things awkward if you do want to directly select them now as you have to manually navigate close to the system first. Or if you know the name, you'll be better off typing it in.
Quite why this has seemingly been made less accessible is a mystery.

If you're running from the launcher, try using the alternative download option from the launcher menu.
I tried both ways several times. Eventually corrupted the install and had to start from scratch (fortunately backed up my binds). Still had the issue but then I started again with multi-threaded disabled (alt dl is not an option anymore, odd), deleted .part and .progress files from Win64, and in administrator mode...finally worked
Silver lining, at least my install folder is in a sensible place now. Has been buried in User/Local/AppData ever since pre-release beta.

Regarding the galaxy map and being able to zoom out/in for selecting book marked places....................Sorry but i disagree, I have just stopped playing having a bit of a check/see how the updates went.....what your problem is,, must be on your system, because I dont have that issue,

FDev. you guys have done a great job so far with this .01 update, I have noticed many minor fixes, ones that were ultra low on the annoying scale for me, in other words i could live with them, so Well done fixing those, the galaxy map is perfect right now, ( at least for me it is ),
I assume the other main issues will be systematically fixed in further updates, But for now, EDH is working Very well, from my prospective at least.
SO DONT UNDO ANYTHING.
