That's odd. It's now working for me on 3440x1440 (that is, the stem from the pop-up to the system/planet is in the right place, though the map left-side panel is still positioned incorrectly).
Nope, I've just tried it again, this time comparing borderless and fullscreen behaviour. The left-hand panel is positioned incorrectly (which is what you'd expect if it was doing all its positional computations as if it were assuming a 16:9 display) and the greater the distance of the thing selected is from the centre of the display, the greater the error between the position of the thing and the pointer to the thing.

Re: the salt comment, sometimes I say something rude and inappropriate because it's far too funny not to say. The salt comment was funny. Yeah, it's snide, and you could read into it pretty badly, but we're only human. Sometimes when we see an opportunity to say something hilarious, it's gotta' get said.

I'm away from my gaming computer for a few days myself, and am being terribly impatient with this Galaxy Map question:

Is the fix just to the offset pop-ups, or does the patch also fix the problem of not being able to click on a far-off bookmark and go to it?

(And sorry, I'm sure someone else has asked this already. If I'm too impatient to wait to see myself, do you think I'm patient enough to read every page of the thread? I'm just a bad person tonight...)

The problem with selecting faroff bookmarks has been fixed. At least from my perspective, it behaves as it did pre- 2.3 update.

Nope, I’m working as a naval officer and as such, I have no right for mistakes, because they can cost a human live or injuries at least. If quality of my work is the same as FDevs one, I would be fired long time ago.

Never mind, I’m pretty sure, that money given by me for this game was in perfect shape and best quality, which cannot be said for ED at all.

This is an embarrassment, for a "Naval Officer" to equate his/her "work" as the same as making a game... saddens me to even think this might be someone placed in charge of lives. Hopefully, they just pretend to work "as a naval officer " in some other FPS and not endanger any real people. BTW, real Naval Officers don't get fired.

Just the same as it ever was, games don't come out perfect... never have, never will. Thanks for the patch and keep it coming.

Thinking the same thing.

That post is so unprofessional for a so called "Naval Officer".

I had to laugh at this because, as a teenager I once attended a british Royal Navy engineering recruitment day - showed us a joystick on a console that was related to firing some sort of missile, and they guy said: So this is where you find out that being in the Navy is just like playing computer games all day long ;).

Oh grow a funny bone you sad little individual. Life is much better if you don't take everything so seriously.

LOL. Well if they don't cover that procedure, I hope they at least cover the cost of the ointment for treating that epic BURN ;).

Maybe I should be the one talking about collecting salt ;)

If you are coding for the navy, then the budget you folk get for writing said code is far higher than the development of a game. Life threatening critical code (Naval systems, Fighter control systems, fire control targeting systems) should have a Quality standard far higher than a game as well. After all, you want the artillery to hit where you want. I bet the software you guys use/develop cost a lot more than £40 a go as well.

For those claiming offense at the 'salt' comment in the patchlogs...

This is humour. There is no malice contained in the humour. It was not placed there as some kind of snide remark. It was not placed there to cause offence.

If you've ever read The Martian, or watched the film, this is the kind of humour Mark Watney would come out with. It's a flippant joke hidden amongst the serious business of the patch notes. That's it.

Those who get it will snort coffee out their noses and laugh. If you didn't get the humour, then don't worry about it. You just have a different sense of humour, that's all.

If you actually got offended? There's simply no hope for you ;)

And of course there will be some who deliberately use it as a grievance. Boooo to you.

I for one almost choked with mirth when I noticed it.

Shame I can't rep Brett anymore at the mo

•Farmed salt from the community for usage later.

Off now to search for pure NaCl worlds for mining - hopefully there's a few in the bubble :)
