That said, I don't actually believe there's anything in-game to find![]()
I agree completely. That said, I'm going to go to the end of the line before coming back for a search in that area because......Rifter! [big grin]

Ouch. All hail the great dictatorSean Locke once said "I always listen to the voices in my head - they're the only thing that keeps me from killing"
Also, if you're going to claim sanity, then we'll have to downgrade you to 'Ambassador' status in the PWCTR.
Pretty sure Harry Potter's guns had a part to play.

What sane person would argue with a murderous, axe-wielding penguin? Oh wait, forgot what forum thread I was in.
I'm a newcomer to the game and am interesting I the Formidine Rift Mystery. I don't know where to start really, there's been so much in three years and the official posts are so long and contain so many asides and tangents they are hard to follow for someone new. I've read a lot, and think I have a beginners knowledge of the mystery. I was thinking of starting my search in Prism, where it all seems to have started. I've noticed something about prism, which I'm sure is not new to anyone but myself. Obviously the names of the planets are important and they seem to paint a picture of Salomé's life. Prism, of course, refracts light into ROYGBIV, it takes a whole and breaks it down into its individual parts. We have Diamond, I assume representative of white light, Sapphire for Blue, Ruby for Red, and the planets for the remaining colors (not including their moons). Is this a hint for how to order the events or where things may be missing? Also, am I correct in assuming that the 'old woman' Salome had contact with isn't an old woman at all, but the man who rescued her much like Apollo came in the guise of an old woman in one of the myths hinted at in the names of the planets? The names also seem to indicate that Salome knew her death was a forgone conclusion and sent through the message with couriers ahead of her and intentionally made a target of herself.

Oh okay, I didn't know it had been solved. With the old woman's talk of seeing Thargoids amassing beyond the Rift and the presence of something even worse beyond the Rift where 'the stars thin out and you can see the whole Galaxy' and that you would have to plot a course to it I was hoping it would be an unmapped bubble where these things exist that were in instances that were locked until you followed the correct path. Appears perhaps I was letting my mind run away with me lol. Well, an impending alien invasion sure as hell explains the empires desire to expand into Colonia, that's where I'm headed at the moment actually. If there are any new developments I may take the Sidewinder Express home. If aliens invade i don't think I want to watch the action from afar![]()
