Alien ship on ground at barnacle spotted!!!

....and repped, for science. :)

Also, this was posted in another thread:

Please take a close look at the 7:15 point. Is that a tether or line of some kind from the flower ship? FYI, the guy taking the video eventually got powered down to the point where gravity proved once again that it is a harsh mistress.

Why does everyone have to shoot aliens there is gonna be enough of a bloodbath when the Thargoids do get in there without putting us between TWO alien races.

The enemy ships (the flowers are an enemy to the federation until I get some actual game mechanic or npc reaction to the contrary) appear to emit a field that disables electronics within a 200-600ish meter sphere. They should be attacked at ranges exceeding 1km

Are commanders still seeing the alien encounters, or is there only one such ship in the game and it is stuck at the livestream site ? It's been there for the past 4 hours approx.

The Confederacy of Vulcan has close ties to the Federation and we don't consider "Mother" as we have named them an enemy. Of course we haven't kidnapped probes, shot up barnacles, or any of the other atrocities that Cannon and the rest have done. Maybe that is why one of our members was allowed to see this? Maybe our efforts to send signals through fractures in space time worked and they understand that the poor miners of Vulcan are peaceful and respect their rights in accordance to the Prime Directive (article 2 section 7)?

A lot of questions here I am sure, but peace if normally the best method of approach when it comes to dealing with something that can shut down an entire ship before it can fire.

They're called JELLYCONES man, JELLYCONES!

It's true! As of the 17th of March when they first appeared!!

:D

Ok, can we have a consensus of opinion on this? Can we start a poll???
Flower Ships
Jellycones

I really don't have a preference, but if everyone leans to "Jellycones" I have no problem with that. ;)

Well considering the flower just blew up that cmdrs Asp........

Actually, they didn't intend to do that. The video showed him getting too close to the "energy-dampening field" (can we call it the ship's "EDF"?) and accidently caused his own demise.

I went to create a poll but I have no idea how to. It seems both sides have their supporters!

I name this jelly, Covfefe ..... for science.

We have been approached without comms and violently detained. An innocent cmdr has already been killed. They are enemy. Until an invader proves otherwise, he is hostile.
