FDev, you just upset a *lot* of people.

It would be nice if all the victims could have received a refund for ships lost, financed by the cheater's credit balance/fleet worth.

That would take them months to work out... they would have to look at the logs of every player who used the exploit for a whole year's worth of gameplay - a bit unrealistic.

Having faced the rebuy screen a few times in a row because of more than one of the outed cheaters, some sort of recompense would be nice, hit me hard and wiped out my healthy credit balance, so the next rebuy screen would have been a Sidewinder. I stayed in solo for a few weeks trying to un do those encounters damage.

Thank you sir, for confirming this. :)

Your post should be stickied, so that all the "Quince is an exploit!" people will finally shut up. There's no exploit to be found in accepting missions and completing them as instructed.

Pretty sure I reported this but Maybe I forgot to....
I didn't really want to add this into this thread, but I will anyway..
The Scan missions are very bugged and are an exploit.
I can easily collect a dozen of them or more if I take the time...the 3 limit only works sometimes. also applies to destroy power generators..
The exploit portion though is that you usually only have to do 1 scan and all scan missions become completed no matter where the destinations really were.
The passenger missions there are a similar exploit....

All I can say is that if its intentional, then the target destinations of each mission should probably be replaced with 'Valid anywhere you can find a mission related data beacon'

Poetic justice fer some individuals that its against the rules to name, but considering the bile they spewed onto these pages and old trolls like me around...I can understand why they staying away but when they come back, and most rage quitters are back with a week or 2 anyway, then they sure as hell wont be allowed to forget this. Every time they start spewing bile...one of us will be there to remind them they aint so squeeky clean themselves.

The funniest thing is they did it to themselves and even boasted about it that FD wouldnt do anything about it...and thats just in the past few days. That actually makes what FD did all the sweeter cos it well and truly wiped that smug grin off their faces ^
I love the fact that 'that guy' who said FD would do nothing and bragged away is now on reddit crying bitter tears about a ban and mod removal. And it turns out that the line he fed us about having only done it once was the lie we suspected it to be.

There IS no exploit to be found in accepting missions and completing them as instructed. This is true. It's also not what I'm talking about. The exploit is in not having to complete as instructed (and I don't mean the incidental way in which more than one mission can count per scan). So no, Quince is not an exploit. There is an exploit that vastly speeds up what can be made at quince though. Judging from this thread I'm guessing those who know it have kept it to themselves.

Q: What do metal ions and ED cheaters have in common?
A: SALTS

I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning...

Don't be so optimistic, people who was punished yesterday will take back what they loss, very, very soon and they will find another way how to gain their own privileges over other playable mass.

Haha ye reddit yesterday...the sky wasnt falling, it was bouncing up and down like a trampoline. There was another we wont name from a group we all know so well moaning that he didnt even think it was possible to play at all without using exploits. I remember the guys name because about a year ago, he argued about how hard it was fer pvprs to have to do pve to get engineers up the hard way...

Hmm yes one does love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning...so much better when it has a salty aftertaste ^

'For publicizing the exploit, I caught a ban. OK, fair enough.'

Hardly crying bitter tears about the ban, mod removal yes, but ban no.

Sorry, no, he and his Ilk have invented a far louder 'crymunity' than ever existed here, some of them have not only been exposed as cheaters but also as liars, as potential quitters and as massive hypocrites. Boy, doesn't that make for a delightful set of character traits, even if they are only online traits.

EDIT - add delusions of grandeur to that, see appropriate Reddit for clarification.

And if they do it clean, without exploiting or cheating, then more power to 'em and bring it on... Otherwise they'll just get slapped again - and again and again...

Sadly, experience tells me that the players who cheat like that will only look for a new cheat rather than bothering to actually git gud. When they get tired of FD playing whackamole on their bonces, they'll just quit and good riddance to bad rubbish.

Well I logged in this morning and no message, or missing mods. That confirms I in fact did not get around to testing the exploit. Lol

I know of a couple of people that did get round to testing the exploit. Not heard from them.
Personally going and doing 5-6 legit G5 rolls is enough to bore me so there was no way I'm going to take 200 sulphur and go through the effort that was involved with this
