Hutton Orbital is 22 LY from entry. There may be a way of figuring the time to distance but I do not know it.

Actually, it is 0.22 lyrs == 1,291,336,992,000 miles == 2,078,205,440,053 km.

That's a long way for a mug (or even a stupid T-shirt)!

It took me this long to get across a system to one station. There has to be a way to choose which star in the system you want to jump to. Such a waste of time.
don't travel so slow. it should only take 1.5hrs. ;) yes I'm one of the fools that did the CG, top 5% I think about 25trips full of goodies. think your self lucky that the CG has been and gone!

So, you got one of your initiation rites completed (Hutton Orbital)? o7
For the MUG! :D

On a less tongue-in-cheek note, sorry, have to repeat myself:
Nope, the mechanics are as good as they can be in a single player game which is shoehorned into a MMO mongrel.

Now, I wouldn't mind some sort of dumb autopilot which could fly you to a destination if no one interrupts the trip, but some insight into how the current system came to be might get you appreciate it a bit more.

And the long supercruises need to stay! We don't have cable-cars to Mount Everest or Matterhorn etc., some places should feel an achievement once you get there. Getting across the whole Galaxy is all too easy & quick already.

:)

As per the last link,

"In-system jump to in-system body"

I wonder why they left that out.

Blablablabidiblah!

I love that there are places one must pay the live time price to reach. Plenty of stuff close by for those who won't.

The longest one I took was 750kls. It was while exploring. I did it to see what was on at the end, maybe FD had hidden something WORTHWHILE!

No.

Typical.

Which kind of puts you off doing it again in the next system.
The only problem is; there might actually be something there (IIRC, Frontier have said there is still stuff to discover in the galaxy; not all of it has been found yet).

I won't go there anymore, the mugs are made in china now.

What part of an inverse tangent approaching an asymptote don't you understand? ;) (sorry, I couldn't resist.)

As if this post could be found on any other forum. Unless you are talking about action you saw at the club last night.

Dang we be smart!

Someone chose to go to Hutton orbital...

There is a reason why the game asks you to check the galaxy map before accepting missions...

I am interested in seeing the traffic stats at Hutton orbital.

Me too, I'd love to know how much whine arrives there on a daily basis...

Sorry wine, I meant wine (honestly).

Well considering to date less than 1% of systems have been explored I'd hope there is stuff out there no one has discovered yet lol

I followed the Hurt Highway out to Sag A* earlier this year and still managed to First Discover like 25 pages worth of stuff on the way there and back. (this was making 240+ LY jumps the entire trip only making shorter jumps to refuel)
