Let's mention the REAL elefant in the room.
That missile was shot too late to hit any of those and gave away its position for any ship coming after those.
Plus, no Integrated Umbrella AAA defense? Where's the other defense assets?!
THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!11one!Eleven!

That's why I mention SQ42, the part of the game that is not an MMO. If you read it again I was saying that even if the MMO part of the game only has 5 systems only, will it really have an effect on SQ42, being a plot driven single player game? Probably not. Exploration is screwed, for sure, but I doubt that was ever really going to be a big thing in the single player game. And if it was, it sure as hell isn't now.so you think that exploration and trade, a huge part of the sandbox MMO, will be possible with 5 systems.
Look, I have found a planet never explored before!
oh, wait, it says it has peen discovered by 23500 players before me. what a mess!

And they really should have done that first. Dump this whole idea of an MMO, and just get a working single player game with a great campaign out the door and into peoples hands with the idea of spending that additional money on the MMO part of the game later.
The problem there is that most of that money came from selling ships. How could they do that if the only thing on the cards, at least initially, would be a single player game? Not pay to win exactly but pay to skip most of the content perhaps. They would have to shovel over that money on the promise that these ships would make it into the MMO part of the game that would be coming later, hopefully.
So a lot like right now in that respect.![]()
Of course they are reading from a script. These guys are devs not Community Managers. Have you me an SE? They are super shy and not good under cameras.
No feature has been deduced to anything. This is just how development works. You cant furnish the house until its finished. Large cargo boxes are currently ony bought through the kiosk. However smaller items can be carried and stored on ship yourself, or bought through the kiost either way. They have to start somewhere, and no, you dont wait until a feature is completed to test it. Thats now how anything in life works. Things are tested as they are made, otherwise you will have to start again from scratch if any of the foundation isnt up to par.
Everything they say will be in 3.0 will be in 3.0. They are 100% transparent.
Please educate yourself on basic development proccesses.
Interesting find by a user on reddit. Says a lot about the state of VR in Star Citizen. I am sure a super secret Star Citizen VR build exists somewhere else...

Except there would be a single player game we could play while we were waiting for the MMO. Right now we have nothing.
.... CRoberts chose an outsider to break news on the System cutdown (GameStar)? So much for the "most open development ever" where backers are the last to hear about critical news surrounding the game.....
The PvP slider is not a thing now.
If you want to avoid PvP, now you just have to stick to safe systems on release.
5 systems on release? That's gonna be fun![]()
Did you saw it yet? Gamestar started to make a big recap coverage about "the story" of Star Citizen for Gamestar Plus members. Its so sad to see them so obviously hyping up a game and trying to hook people up with it so that more money gets thrown at it.Browsing through the SC threads on Reddit I found this little thread
Its no drama or anyway it just stuck out because of its complete irrelevance to the project as a whole which made me wonder.
What exactly is Spectrum designed for? Isnt it supposed to offer a communication platform for SC players tying directly into the game so people can communicate with each other and set up game related stuff while not playing? I thought Spectrum was released already but nobody is using it and rather takes Reddit for messanging? Is it because Spectrum is so bad or doesnt hold up to expectations or is it because its still in alpha? Come to think of it....with all the communication platforms offered to CiG which are frequented by many (Reddit, DS forum,Spectrum, RIS(?)) CRoberts chose an outsider to break news on the System cutdown (GameStar)? So much for the "most open development ever" where backers are the last to hear about critical news surrounding the game.
I am not going to dig into Spectrum to come up with answers, I value my private time too highly for that but I do remember the advertising spiel announcing Spectrum to be amazing and groundbreaking offering so much....has any of that actually come true?
When you add the Griefers to this mix will anyone have any fun in these 5-10 systems? In the present Alpha instance you have to fight AI culprits just to accomplish A mission. Failed and you start over. But only after a short wait unless you want to use in game credits first. Which I would note you are not told.
Anyway, a buggy/SRV is the least of my concerns. I bought into this with two mind sets. 1. Buying SC at least afforded me a chance to try it .... 2. And it afforded me a chance to have my say on it. Now I believe I've not only backed a dead horse but perhaps need to get my money back.

I am in the same boat. At least for me it was only £30.
So they were 100% transparent with their Gamescom "live presentation" of 3.0 in 2016? Not throwing something together claiming "THIS IS 3.0 and it will come end of december" while having a huge presentation of coming features for 3.0 while having a huge ship sale running. While being the rest of 2016 being nearly silent about the status of 3.0. Thats what you call transparent? Then ONE YEAR later cutting more then 50% of everything "shown" in 2016 for 2017.
Please educate yourself on basic marketing processes, hyping and how to make money with that.
They werent silent. They were clear about the delay and why and what caused. Ignorance isnt the absent of communication, its just you being ignorant.
Buddy: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=off&q=3.0+schedule+report+&spf=1500655538939 again ignorance to communitcation doest mean communication didnt happen. It just means you didnt know about it. The world doesnt revolve around you.[haha][haha][haha][haha][haha][haha][haha][haha]
Oh brother that is amazingly funny!
1) They promised a release 'in a few weeks'.
2) The deadline passed, and they mentioned nothing.
3) Next thing we've been told is that they are 'almost about to finish planning 3.0', weeks after it was supposed to be released.
4) We then get a 'ETA' that everyone knows is nonsense, with stuff cut without explanation.
5) As everyone expects they come up with nonsense 'delays' to get the ETA to gamescon, which they didnt have the nerf to do directly.
But hey, if this is how honest you want people to treat you, fine by me. [haha]
