We're actually paying to have no colour (white) lasers and engines?

Actually... It's not... White light is an equal combination of all wavelengths of the visible spectrum. Blue and red are predominantly just those wavelengths.

I guess personally speaking I always found the notion of charging to change "#FF0000" to "#00FF00" in some code questionable. But I guess, "#FFFFFF" is even more effort :)

Real men write 0xffffffff.

New ships? Nope. Panther Clipper? Nope. New colors re-hashed over old textures? Sure, for another tiny fee. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha!

You act like making an enterily new ship is the same as changing the color code of a VFX.

Wow, such firepower! Great thing it's in such responsible hands in the US of A!

Indeed, because we know Over There, the LaWS would be turned down to a very stern flashlight, and the rail gun would only project a flag a few feet that said "Bang", because, you know, we can just talk every thing out with everybody.

Im fine with FD adding in all these new weapon colours but can we at least be able to equip them to specific weapons rather than all of them

Without irony, this is the colour pack I have been waiting for.

Proudly using black'n'white on the Spectrum in 1985 and black'n'white forum avatar'n'sig since 2015.

on April 1st 2018 Frontier should release a 1st april special item:

Nyan-cat Engines

Nyan-cat Bobblehead

Nyan-Cat Weapon colors

:p

OK I really don't want to get into politics, but I'm an American. I have a collection of handguns and a license to carry any of them mostly anywhere. And I hear gunshots so regularly where I live that I can tell a .22 from a 9mm, and I know the distinctive sounds of shotguns and rifles. Just from living downtown. It has gone a bit too far, I'm a small-time gun nut myself and even I'm tired of guns now.

Don't forget my favorite, the Airborne Laser (ABL). Basically a modified Boeing 747 with a mini-bus-sized IR laser in the nose, with multiple schoolbus-sized batteries in the back.

I think they cancelled it, but they built a working flying one and tested it.

On topic, I'm sure I'll buy the white lasers and engine color (it's pocket-change, and I like options), but I honestly don't have a clue what ship I'll use them on. The white exhausts might look good with Gutamaya ships.

You may say that now but when the zombie apocalypse comes you'll be glad you have em :D

Its pizza money.

Then FD don't need to charge do they?

Works both ways man.

Also, it's not actually the price that's the point, it could be 1 pence, and the point would still stand. Your paying for extremely basic customisation, in a game you paid full price for, probably plus an expansion pack.

In some cases, people have paid over 100 pounds for the game.

I know

"FD need funding"

"It was agreed with Kickstarters"

"It's better than subscription"

"Don't buy it if you don't want to"

I don't disagree with any of those statements, but it is still "Fee to pay" paying for minor stuff, in a full priced game.

I don't know, Shaun did pretty well with a cricket bat and some records, improvisation is the key!

It's a shame about that first pressing of Blue Monday though, I'd have died over throwing that away :)
