OMG - Thargoid Cinematic was ACE!

Testing new weapons is necessary but they handled this quite careless imho.
That Thargoid first sent of a sort of emp burst trying to stop us following him, he didn't seek the confrontation knowing that he would have to kill us if he didn't send out that emp burst.
But noooo, we have countermeasures and start shooting experimental missiles at him, missiles we don't even know of how much damage they do.
When I look at that Thargoid turning around I imagine him thinking "Ugh, you're realy begging me to kill you aren't you?"
Before he unleashes his thargons he growls something like "Well here you go then morons"

It was a careless testrun and a waste of assets imho.
But what can you expect, I believe Aegis is just another name for Inra and Inra was stupid enough to try and exterminate the Thargoids, something they brilliantly failed to do.
I'm still baffled why the Thargoids don't simply kill us on sight after what Inra did.

The only logical conclusion to that is that the Thargoids we see now are Oresians who try to get us between them and the Klaxians.

However, if FD handles the Return right we're in for some exciting addition to ED, I'm looking forward to it.

Now that i had time to think about it. Fed scientist test new toys on thargoid minding it's own business. They open fire make Thargoid mad and are owned for not minding there own business. Yeah go figures for Feds starting a war. They do not even know how to fly a combat ship. Yeah we done.

Still interested in if we were getting a tease of new multi-crew tactical role with more detailed scanning. He seems to need his crewman to tell him the Thargoid status...

Maybe just for dramatic effect, one can only hope.

It looks like a windmill, and somethings hit it!

Alien Covenant.

A silly movie, utterly silly and not worth the cinema ticket price.

Yup. While I love the Xenomorphs, they're simply not scary these days. Fun to watch. But not scary.
Heck, they wasn't even that sneaky in Covenant.
Not to mention the amount of retardation by the crew. That movie is basically guide on a 'how not to command a spaceship'. Lol

Back on topic....

I wonder how long it will take before the first 'thargoids are overpowered, need them!' thread pops up.
We should have sort of poll for this. Lol

CMDR Cosmic Spacehead

Even though Veteran Commander Mason and and his troops died in that encounter I think their mission was a success.

Why do you think they died?

All multicrew where there in Telepresence, and CMDR Mason has the only escape pod, so In would expect to see him again in the next cinematic.

3.0 we need flappy mouth sync with CMDR's voice chat so we can do our own versions of these encounters!

Still waiting to see if we end up the a Wing of SDC folks with conventional weapons taking out Wings of CMDRs with anti-Thargoid weapons, now nigh on defenseless...

I'm hoping SDC or similar, show up to gank unsuspecting alien hunters, but forget their anti Thargoid countermeasures, and promptly get shut down and murdered by the Thargoids.

It's unlikely though. They'd probably just CLog.

:p
