Yeah... until they fix the billion/trillion credit bug, there's too much board-swapping for me to be interested. 92m for 144t of shipping would be great, but I can't accept it atm because of this.

After Hyperdiction by two ships
EMP pulse and one wakes out

First one stays and copies movement staying at 524 meter as best it can, mimicking movements.

Completely non hostile event getting in close

Deploy hard points and it deploys it according to the warning but stands down when you do

Fun fact they can use the ECM repeatedly!

We have i think 36 barnacles around a central massive barnacle.. that one has a few massive spikes which cant be destroyed.
Beyond the 36 are Scavengers roaming about, and many small tiny barnacle spikes around the outside.. It seems like the scavengers are growing them there.. or planting a forest of them!>.

So perhaps some evidence for the hypothesis that barneys grow into US? But the configuration looks rather dissimilar, perhaps the US are much older or something else entirely

I wasn't (quite) the first Fuel Rat to attempt this but, for the record, they don't seem to appreciate being refuelled ..

P.S. apologies for being a total chicken and legging it at the end ... this was my first encounter and the moment I saw the swarm of Tharglettes I figured it was time to make a tactical withdrawal! :p

Surely their wars and politics are completely alien? Are we perhaps expecting a war or politics like our own, when perhaps barnacles are the klaxians and the ships/US are oresians (or vice versa)?

Don't think so. The US seem to be quite old so probably from previous thargoid war. All the lore seems to say previous encounters were with Oresrians only. Many of these goids bear the mark of Cain the Barney, with varying elaborations and we are given to believe (from Premonitions etc) that the first goids we encounter are likely to be the Oresrians, with the Klaxian horde a bit later (when Winter really sets in, this is just early Autumn!). Ergo, UA, UP, barneys, US & current goid ships are likely to be mainly Oresrian, though some of the ships might be Klaxian scouts.

their politics might be alien, perhaps one faction think genetic variation in the hindlegs is an abomination for eradication, but I think FD won't go overboard in the alienness.

Refuel, repair, hatchbreaker, collection, prespecting

Guys guys guys... there all friendly unless your too close. Dont go jumping to conclusions to different factions. Lets just call them thargoids for now until we get solid evidence that they are in fact other factions.
