Oculus just have the same rinse and repeat approach "sorry to hear that, open a ticket".
I wish I'd left my Elite in steam and not moved it to the Oculus app, these update lockouts are no use.
If we could get into the launcher we could just update manually.

I've got the base install and the oculus install separately. I was able to update the base game, but it still launches Oculus home and screws it all up. I've tried Dr Kaii profiler too and it never works.

tried that... still requires update. strange i cant even get to the launcher from the oculus software folder and update it from there - that used to work, now it just says update required please close launcher :/

please please do not nerf bat the Thargoid material missions, having something high risk with high reward is a pure pleasure in ED. Make it harder if you have to but don't reduce the payouts and attraction.

The aliens aren't players so the extremist wing of the PvP crowd won't touch them of course.

I never got why there are docking computers. Take off and Landing manually was one of the major appeals for me with this game.

Landing on high g worlds with a very lightweight build and small thrusters is not something a trader would want to do, an adrenaline junky maybe.

Actually I would suggest they've just reverted to the old 2.3 mission board (for passengers) as it's only a few missions per contact like it used to be. Shame I was enjoying the extra variety of missions

Oculus Updates do not work, I have tried in vain for the last 3 hours to get it to UPDATE, it failed the first 3 times say Sorry it looks like your anti-virus has blocked the installation of Elite Dangerous, so I disabled the anti-virus software rebooted pc, checked it was still off and tried again, this time it says Sorry it looks like there was a problem with the installation of Elite Dangerous, tried again and again and again, still no joy, I have tried a manual install but I cant as it wont let me log onto the ED launcher or in fact log out of the Launcher, so I'm screwed, Uninstalling it does nor work either and it will download the latest version, but still requires a further update that then fails and then back to square one again where the Launcher says it requires an update that continuously fails. This is the first time I have come across this problem since using the Oculus software, anyone any ideas ??

Uninstall your anti-virus and disable your fire wall. go into settings - beta restart Oculus. That worked for me.
{don't forget to reinstall and trun back on your stuff

Might be a long shot, but I had to restart my PC for today's smaller update to work. That was after reinstalling yesterday for the big update, and waiting for todays to be available.

Yeah I've found them at another station, it was weird the first few boards had only sight seeing tours.

I brought my Conda with 50+ passenger slots to Maia so I damn well want to use them LOL
