Launcher sais "ServerStatus ok" (after first displaying "update")
but ingame tells still "client to old"

Edit: now it gives me the option to update. So, never mind...

Yeah, an upgrade button, this is new to me, I wouldn't have known had I not opened the launcher to check server status.

"Play the game your way, but only if you play it our way"

For god's sake FDev, let people make their credits quickly. This isn't a free to play game. Elite only gets properly fun after you get rich. Stop being so damn ruthless with your banning of any kind of get rich quick scheme, the only reason people want money is to buy better ships so they can have more fun playing the game.

I respect your view but surely you can see its nit an easy decision? For me the game IS trying to earn money to earn the ships etc. I loved the earnings in 1.0. now maybe it was too hard, but try to see if from all angles. I dont envy FD trying to balance it but knowing the likes of quince exist makes me not want to bother. Why try to sniff out good trade runs or get allied with a group of well matched local systems to maximise profits when i can just jump to the local get rich quick system?. Killed the game for me

Yes. Because those lessened the grind. If a game has you having fun 5% of the time and the other 95% is grinding in order to be able to get back to the fun, don't you think something is wrong with game design?

If you are a trader, 95% is shipping commodities from one station to another station
If you are a fighter or bountie hunter, 95% is shooting at enemies
If you are a explorer, 95% is scanning systems and planetary

So whats different to 95% grinding?

The AspX is clearly the best ship in the game by a large margin, but I do still like to muck about in large ships from time to time.

May I correct you with some generic misquote:

The $myship is clearly the best ship in the game by a large margin, but I do still like to muck about in [large/small/agile/long/black/silent/hully/shieldy/engineered/strange] ships from time to time.

:-D

In other words: The aspx is one of the most underrated ships, you are right. It's just from my point of view: "Python is love", "Long live the Diva" (Clipper) , "Let's dance!" (engineered DBS)... I think cmdrs' mileage might vary a lot on these... :)
