What does...

"After reviewing overall player experiences since 2.4, we've adjusted the number of missions the servers attempt to send for each board or passenger lounge"

... actually mean?

It was taking ages for the missions boards to load, and sometimes it would say that it able to download the complete mission list. I guess this fix reduces the number of missions that it shows. I hope it doesn't reduce it too much, because I was enjoying seeing 15-20 missions per faction.
 
Friends list is still jacked up...
We still have issues instancing with other players...
long range missions (to colonia and such) have crap for payout...
missions in general still pay for crap ...
We still have an extremely grindy engineers system...
we still waste our time giving you developers feedback.

Other players will vindicate you and just say. " oh you only wanted a big ship, grind is in your head mentality, if you played a different way, perhaps more akin to mine, you could have more fun. Such a subjective view right?"
 
Confirmed... The nerf is real....

This doesn't even cover the cost of a couple of heat sinks.

Perhaps that mission should say "5 hitchhikers seeking transportation" (tourists tend to pay above-average cab fares).

I've got a question, maybe someone experienced know the answer.

I've submitted a bug report from 2.4 and it has still not been fixed by 2.4.01 or 2.4.02, do I file another bug report from 2.4.02 or post again saying it's still not working as intended on the 2.4 bug report?
And no, it is not named in the known issues list.

If it isn't fixed, then it means it's a feature.
 
Everyone plays their own way, if you don't want to get rich, good for you, but when a majority calls out (for years) that the grind is just plain stupid on a pay-to-play game which has no end-game content, then maybe they're right? But naa, calling out others is more fun, when you're not having fun in-game!? :p


Mehehe, i think i'm having fun right here, right now :D

I guess I was questioning the line about new players, as said many times how people play their game as in the one they paid for is off no concern to me, I agree tho that the game is one hell of a grind or can be if people set their mind on one thing and one thing alone, I know i've done my fair share of it :p

Thanks FD for the update and the hard work.
I did enjoy the passenger missions and was enjoying doing another line of work in elite. I thought it must be a bug with the huge payout
and not been able to accept ones over 20million and some error updating the mission list on the passenger page. Nice meeting all of you out there.

I had to validate the game files then the update button appeared. Thanks again Frontier.
 
Reverted the reward for the Dead Missions to 10 million after it erroneously changed back to 100 million

FD - Have you also fixed your server hot-patch from the other day that affects this mission?
The one that limits mission payouts to 30m except this one, which was apparently capped at 100m?

(for those that don't get it - there's 101 scans to do @ 1m credits each, plus a 10m completion bonus. That's 111m...)
