I'm still not sure what Zac is talking about offering in the future here yet. Either way, we'll wait and see, and some will make "common sense" assumptions/accusations/assessments.
Still hoping for more traditional game expansions after 2018, but we'll see.
Certainly glad they addressed some of the concerns here though.

Well it could be a lot of things. The nature of the LEP is that it gets you optional content for free, not exclusive stuff that cannot otherwise be bought so pay2win stuff (like engineers) can't be ruled out, therefore it could be something like a ship, or a personal base starter pack.
Personally if we go down the pay2win exclusive road I'd quite like my 96% insurance back.

What? .. where did you get that from? ... LEP's don't cover Micro transactions .. never have.
Well, they can't make money on a free year of content.
I don't see why... there is no reason on that basis...
IF on the other hand the FREE updates planned for 2018 delivery were major content updates such as walking around or landing on atmospheric planets then there might be a fair cause for complaint from us LEP owners.
However, those that are expressing concerns are doing so from a position of lack of definitive information about the future of ED - something that is always likely to be a concern IMO.
Depends on the nature of the micro-transactions - if they are functional enhancements only obtainable through purchase (with no free in-game alternatives) then there would be a reasonable case for them being covered - cosmetic and pay-to-win class transactions on the other hand would not be covered.
Clearly something big is coming in 2018 from what Zac said/posted .. we have no idea what it is ... but why not complain anyway? .. it's what we do! [wacko]

My view on my £120 investment was that by end of 2018 (three season passes for £40 each) I will be even and all after that I will get free I had smile on my face till about March 2017 when I realised that once again my financial concepts are rubbish As it is now I got £40 back (Horizons) and I will get "something" by end of 2018 maybe.
It is not a big thing, I was constantly buying skins and other things from the Frontier Store, purely because I play a lot and want support the game. I would rather pay £10 subscription monthly to play ED, than buy a LEP if there are no payed expansions for two years which where supposed to be covered by LEP.
Again, no drama, £120 is a cost of two decent steaks and a bottle of good wine in London restaurant....

I would speculate that its extra content - extending non core game play - not just game extras as per current store. I hope too its not "pay 2 win" type stuff -i.e., buy ships with real $$.
Nothing of that sort is confirmed.
They might be special cosmetics, but I suspect it will be some special rewards for LEP backers as thank you and holding out. Some special ships (similar to Cobra IV, LOL to those who would call it pay to win), or maybe some other access. Who knows what FD have in works at the moment.
Depends on comparing apples to oranges.
They are not MT. Period. It will be some thank you content for big backers. Nothing game changing. Interesting, maybe.
I can't really see premium content just a couple of special skins or a few ships. Premium content is premium. Sounds like something substantial personally. It will obviously be purchasable for people who don't have the LEP too.
