Way to cherry pick from 300+ posts. Bravo.
Is that the best you've got?
dude, it was the
opening post. it's usually what sets the mood for the whole thread.
This thread was primarily about the pathetic nerf done to AX weapons.
my comment was primarily about the cheap tactic of calling
moaning to any difference in opinion.
This resulted in anyone who choose to hunt aliens being vulnerable to CMDR's who run a traditional fit. Tell me about improper design. We can talk about it all day, I think. We certainly have enough recent examples.
i didn't get that from your first two posts. actually ... are you're making this up now? vulnerability by chosen layout is not a design flaw per-se, it's a feature. a specialized trader or explorer are vulnerable to specialized pvp'ers too, and do that knowingly at their own risk, which i assume is part of the appeal and gameplay. it's not imbalance but asymmetry. i don't see why alien hunters should be different. (not saying they shouldn't, but can't consider either option as a
flaw).
the main design flaw here is (still) combat logging, which is just the tip of the iceberg of a failed multiplayer system.
Oh... I hate combat loggers too, so I threw that in the mix...
Are you going to tell me a forced disconnect is OK under certain circumstances now?
my opinion (insert moaning here at leisure) is that the entire combat log affair is frontier's fault, by improper design and negligence. it's a mess with consequences to gameplay, but it's their mess and no amount of forum discussion (from which we've had already metric tons) can possibly fix that. ironically, if you think about how frontier reacts to the feedback here ... talk about cherry picking!
