Do ED store proceeds go into Elite development?

That's fine. It's a 'NO' then. FD never said that.

FD has given all of the information in their Annual Reports for their shareholders to understand exactly how their games are funded and how their money is being spent. I've gone over this in detail in those threads. Either you understand what I typed or you don't, there's nothing I can do to explain it any more thoroughly then I already have.

If your argument is that you are somehow expecting FD to flat-out state "we've underdeveloped Elite to work on Planet Coaster instead" then no amount of discussion will be productive with you. Underdeveloping Elite is exactly what FD did and their Annual Report shows this very clearly, but you need to actually read it yourself, they aren't going to tell the Elite playerbase this directly or their stock price would tank.

I've gone over FD's financials for 2017 and have yet to see any proof of your assertions and theories. Are you saying you're the only one who's right and everyone else is wrong?

Maybe that's because FD was developing Planet Coaster in 2015 and 2016 and that was when they were underdeveoping Horizons and producing a minimum viable product for multicrew.

Try reading their 2015 and 2016 Annual Reports, which are what I referenced in those threads.

Good to know that it was AN OPINION and not FACT then. My OPINION is not the same as yours.

Carry on, I'm done here.

So you waited 1-2 years to respond to financial reports and post forum threads on them. Got it. :)

It's a conclusion supported by clear evidence in FD's own Annual Reports and a pattern of underdeveloped, minimum viable product during the past two years of Horizons development.

Or are you suggesting that multicrew is truly the best that FD can do in terms of gameplay and quality? I'm giving the devs the benefit of the doubt here that they are competent but simply underresourced. If this is truly the best they can do then the state of the game is far worse than I originally thought.

I posted my complaints about FD's business model a full year ago when I saw the quality of the game was already in a significant decline. Everyone else is just catching up now, I've seen the writing on the wall for a couple of years.

In short - it is your opinion.

Mine differs, based on the same facts.

Wow, you posted regarding FD spending money toward JWE a full year ago? I need to read up on that. You have a link handy so I can see it?

Nostradamus, indeed!

When you buy one of Frontier's products, whether it's games, expansions or store items, you're not investing into the game or ensuring continued development. you're just buying the product.
If you want to invest money into the game and make sure it is only spent on the game, your best bet would be to buy enough shares to get a say.

It's even worse that that. FD is selling paint jobs and diverting that money away from developing paint jobs. Surely, they could have invented a new color by now.

Don't get me started about the lack of bobblehead technology.

It's outrageous and I'm outraged!

The lack of gold striped catsuits is ...disturbing. :)

QFT. Want to decide where the money goes? Become a shareholder! :)

I'm impressed. I thought of spaghetti and then you appeared!

I backed MWO. It didn't turn out like I expected, in part because my expectations were unrealistic, in part because their overcompany were literal criminals. However I didn't hang out on the forums for years afterwards being mad about it and trying to convince people still playing it to be as mad as me, because that's silly.

Please, don't bring back *those* memories... :(

The Canucks owe me my money back. Fat chance on getting it.

I saw that disaster coming before it happened. I love the hell out of the original Mechwarrior IP (FASA) but when I saw it was turning into COD-in-mechs I knew that it wasn't something I wanted to invest money in.

I *know* the original FASA guys, as I wrote for Traveller.

Video Killed The Radio Star, etc... :(

I stated that I noticed issues with Elite's revenue and financials and the negative impact of Planet Coaster development during 2015 and 2016. You're focusing on JWE for some reason when it was never part of my argument about why Horizons turned out the way it did. The impact of JWE is likely to be a major issue with Beyond which I've stated several times however.

If you actually read my posts (which you obviously don't) you would have noticed that even before I realized that FD was funneling money from Elite to Planet Coaster I could see discrepancies between total revenue and the quality of the game they were producing. My first thread on FD's game development not being commensurate with its revenue was over year ago, the link is here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...lion-USD-that-players-have-paid-for-it-so-far

Since then I've posted in many other threads and have discussed the issue of Elite revenue being funnelled to Planet Coaster and Elite being underdeveloped, which I've linked in prior posts in this thread.

I've posted so often on the topic that I refuse to repeat all my references and posts and just refer people to those prior threads.

Perhaps I'm confused- but what I'm seeing from your URL is a thread debating SC and FD's worth rather than anything discussing Planet Coaster and funds being diverted to its development?

Have anything a bit more specific?
