Passenger Missions (pls dont nerf)

Please don't nerf the credit payout. This is a way to make real money in-game. I enjoy these missions and so do a lot of other commanders.
Making a high yield of credits in game just helps us enjoy the game. We get to buy the ship we want or outfit a certain ship without having to spend 100's of hours of grinding credits.

This is a fair game mechanic not an exploit.

Things to make it better or balanced.

Send harder enemies after us.
Change the type of cabins for larger payouts. Business cabins.

Make it easy to stack the mission type we want. Like Colonia missions.

Make the credit payout supply and demand. If everyone is offering passage to a hub then the price goes down. If there are not a lot of options price goes up.

Is it? how much REAL money you made?

No seriously I agree. Thumbs up. Don't whack everyone for a tawdry few. Ive spent weeks working on passenger missions and haven't had the mythical 200 million per hour allegedly promised - not even close and HEY -I am OKAY with that. but 15 million for 45 minutes work like last night - seriously. Don't just go nerf crazy and be realistic. Why is 60 mill an hour so outrageous if it costs 1.2 billion to buy and max upgrade you cutter for passengers?

seriously dudes and dudettes at FDEV - what the ?

Too late, it's a done deal. Another fine nerf-hammer from Frontier "We Suck (the life from our own game)" Developments and remember our motto: if you're not GRINDING, it isn't FUN! o7 [wacky]

Guess I’ll save up cause .....geez these devs have this huge game and seem to think the success is with forcing painful grinding.

Reminds me me a bit of Destiny 2 ♂️

I enjoy passenger missions even even those that take 45 mins or longer but why shouldn’t we get large payouts, it’s oretty bad development to have to fly straight for 45 minutes .....for profit and then remove it shortly after adding it.

So much sense, far too much sense. You want more game play instead of less of an ability to play the game? Hmm, it truly is a revolutionary concept.

As many of the defenders of the nerf keeps saying, it's only a temporary "fix", and as such now is the time to make your voice heard on what a better solution would be.

Well I'm with you that making the missions harder by sending tougher pirates after us, requiring improved ship selection that maybe has less space for passengers, bringing a higher chance of losing the mission pay out all together based on a lack of skill or preparation, would be far superior to this.

Smeaton did make a ton of money and it sucks they knocked it into nerf oblivion im glad I milked 7 billion from it, now i can work on the things I like and not have credits to worry about for all of this year.

It's was so much better than the old grind till you die then have fun. some players have a limited play schedule, like im only able to play on weekends so unless i devote my entire time doing stuff for a CG I dont make squat, which burns me out.

I can't really do trading because the process of having to look up and find trade routs which is usually a few hundred LY away so when I finally do get there i dont feel like I make any money then i realize i have to go back and do it again. Hopefully that gets less tedious with the trading changes.

i dont see what's wrong with having galmap know what's in your hold so when you open it up there's a commodity icon over the highest profit system.

TL;DR I feel the devs should do something for players with limited playtime.

I read your suggestions and i like it, making them harder so there's risk

I held out hope that they would simply be re balanced, bring other missions up to a decent standard and slightly nerf payouts on passenger runs.

But this is FDev we are talking about, they didn't nerf it they hit it with a sledgehammer, as usual it's nerfed to utter worthlessness. What's the point, FDev doesn't fix, they just nerf and nerf and nerf.

No re balancing, no fixes, just nerfs.

It's time to uninstall for the last time. you FDev.

Know what would be nice? Leave ALL the big payouts in the game. Quince, massacre stacking, long range passengers, biowaste hauling...there has been a gold rush for nearly every profession. Then we can pick our own way to make big money.

They did - they just made all our lives more miserable...

Really? What were they i didn't notice anything.

Yea, if you dont want to use them, then dont.
People say "play your way, dont let other people dictate how you play" yet those same people complain other people make more money than they do

I got the bulk of my credits as an employment broker, finding long term employment for criminals, poor and needy Imperial citizens.

It wasn't the most thrilling work, but I eventually helped well over a quarter of a million worthy citizens find valuable, lifetime employment... at 3~4,000 per unit that was a nice little earner and I became known as an Elite in my field.

There's always a way to make money in this game... Might have a zero missing in hourly income, but hey hum...

Could you prove it's actually the same people? I'm curious. Citations?

People wouldn't use things like Smeaton, Rhea, or Quince if payouts actually scaled with rank. The fact is that most missions barely let you pay for rebuy at the end game.
