Hardware & Technical Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS official thread

Hi all,

I’m on the scout for a hotas. I like Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS. I have a question on the throttle. Is there a kind of centre click? Thus as you move the stick to 0 you feel a kind of a click so you instantly know you are at zero procent thrust?

No. Several of us have taken to modifying the Throttle to have a center detent but, depending on what route you take, you might void the warranty. I modified mine with magnets and it works great.

Hi folks,

I'm having a problem where ED is not detecting my Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog in-game, and doesn't register input when attempting to set up a custom control config. Windows sees it, all buttons and axes register under game controllers, I've tried everything suggested here (disabling xHCI controller in BIOS, plugging in to USB 2.0 ports, reinstalling drivers/firmware). I've tried loading and running TARGET's default ED config, no luck. Worth mentioning I recently got a new motherboard and didn't have this problem with my old motherboard.

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, ED fully updated latest release (Not the beta, although it doesn't show there either), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard.

Suggestions? Also, is this where I would post this? I'm new here...

Much appreciated.

forget to ask, is there a horas which has this build in?

Thrustmaster T-Flight X... It's a nice, very cheap HOTAS, but the stick is much less accurate than the T16000 and the throttle has less hats.

I don't think I would recommend it over the T16000. I went from the T-Flight X to the T16000 and it took me a while to get used to not having the indent for centre, but it works pretty well for me now. I'd say the hardest thing is when driving the SRV. Put a big enough deadzone in via the Controls settings and you should get used to it. :)

My velcro centre detent mod is rather smushy and you probably want a 12% deadzone. On the other hand it is v cheap and 100% reversible.

With the magnet mods you can use a much smaller deadzone.

Just bought the Thrustmaster T-Flight 4. Cheaper and compatible with the ps4 as well. Perhaps not the best stick but will do for me. I do not have that much time so I won’t play hours a day. Thanks all for the feedback.

Twice now the buttons on the joystick base have swapped sides for no reason I can fathom. It must be some combination press I do by accident. Anyoneelse seen this ?

In the beta I've found that the roll to the left (X axis) was creeping without input. I already had the deadzone set to about 3 steps. I've had to increase it by 2 steps to stop the ghost input. No issues in the live game. Anyone else had this?

Not in my somewhat limited play time in the beta so far.

How are your main fire trigger buttons everyone? My FCS was bought 12/2016 and now, after approx 1000 hrs in, my main fire trigger is showing signs of wear.
Sometimes it takes couple of trigger pulls that the game registers it. Sometimes it makes a double fire when you pull it only once.
Its not that annoying yet and it doesnt occur every time, but undoubtedly thats something which will get worse over time..

I dont think theres nothing i can do to that but to consider sending my FCS to retailer for warranty service..
