Modes 30 minute cooldown on switching modes

Nah man. lock the missions to the modes they were taken in. If you logout you fail the mission.

Perhaps not automatically fail if you log out before the timer expires, but certainly cancel / fail missions accepted if you log back into a mode other than in which they were accepted :D
 
This would be hilarious in my opinion. And actually makes sense to me.
Though there was a small forum meltdown a couple of years back when someone else suggested it.

Though I'm not the sort who likes to mission stack (it bores the thrusters off me), so it wouldn't impact me in any way.

I think they said they are currently working on missions and rewards as we speak. SO we may not need to flip boards anymore anyways. But this would solve lots of problems like, If they ever decided limit mode specific missions for PVP in the game through powerplay and BGS. Or maybe they just adjust the influence each mode has compared to open to promote engineering and PVP.

Really easy to adjust numbers for Risk Vs Reward against other commanders this way.

When its not related to PVP. Bam you're gucci everything stays the same as it is now. But the minute there are other players involved with those missions, higher %'s for influence or merits in OPEN. And they would be locked to the mode to complete the mission so they cant get around the lesser risk like they do now.

Did you know if you remove the size 6 prismatics and SCB youd use on a Python in Open, Vs the relaxed fit in solo and private, you get 64 more passengers?

I understand there are people using different builds. But we all see how these giant cutters go to CG's in open with no shields for max cargo and cry when they die?

Well the BGSers and Powerplayers do the same thing in solo and private. All they need is a FSD and a Naked ship with cargo. No need for Engineered weapons, no need for HRP's or anything like that. Its created a META. These are people with 1500+ hours in the game that know it and know it well. They can easily dodge interdictions if needed and if they ever do get caught. Just log in solo and private. I mean why not they do it against other commanders right? I see people do this on stream all the time. Even in BGS wars over the year.

So not only would limiting the modes per mission taken stop mission board flipping. It would help promote the parts of the game MADE for PVP based around objectives. And just like the new engineers with the CAP. They can easily adjust the numbers comfortably to make changes.

By the way the new Engineers are awesome. It makes it so once someone g5's everything and settles to a build. They have the same advantage as everyone else. Its not a ball of stats vs a ball of stats anymore. It comes down to skill again.

That makes me super happy. Hopefully more people engineer. And come kick my butt. :p

Yeah, especially for those explorers data bombing and moving passenegers. Like from the bubble to colonia. This would be great. Maybe even a notice on the modes screen as a warning they could fail their mission if they login to a different mode.

I could actually agree with you for once.

I promise Im not a bad guy.

I just want a reason to shoot people in this game. A meaning besides griefing. Its not fun for anyone really. Skill and team fights with your buddies against others is what its all about.

People can sign up for it or dont. But do all of the PVP or none of it. Thats all. These mode limitations could help with that. Especially limiting the missions per mode would help a ton.

Pending they actually fix the mission boards population and rewards.
 
Have you considered being on the side of the good guys then? Don't go shooting traders but go shooting criminals.

Yeah, I do it all the time. I am friends with Good Guys and Bad Guys in and out of the game though.

I tend to do both. Our Player Faction works like a Merc group. There are some jobs we take and others we dont. We even end up fighting each other sometimes. Thats really fun.

But we dont care about the salt really. Except Djtruthsayer, that would be the only "grief" I have ever done. I was just giving him a hard time lol. We're cool though. I cant post his Gank here. Its too spicy, But ill give you some fights where I chased off Zarek Null and fought some wanted Nomads.

This one is from Legendary chickens point of view. This is the kind of PVP I like.

If they ever make it so Powerplay or BGS was limited, then things like Traders and Data couriers would be on the table too. It really wouldnt be griefing as its just stopping the progress with people VS you.

The PVP we have in the game right now. Technically isint supposed to exist. Players made it up cause they cant really get it continuously anywhere else because of the objectives being taken with the modes problem. Yeah I know problems for some.

But still thats why its there.

Anyways, hope you enjoy the videos. The one with Chicken is my Favorite. If you know what you're looking for to get better. It covers lots of things like pressure, positioning, rotations and stuff.

You never had an argument to begin with and you are correct the "discussion" you started is to dumb to even care... just another person trying to inflict their game play preferences on others. And your last quip shows just out of touch you are with the ED community...


I was thinking... and yes I know that can be dangerous sometimes...


Pads should be like some garage designs I've seen... you land on a pad and it moves you down to a hanger... but each pad can have layers of hangers in all 4 directions... so instead of just moving you down, turning you around and back... it could just move you back, or to the left or right and back.. and then the hanger door closes and your ship is now in a pressurized area. The pad can still drop other ships down and put them in other hangers... then some cannot "padlock" others out.
