Having not had access to Beta, and won't be in the game for quite a few weeks (just away from the desktop) I can't really tell what I am looking forward to the most. The Chieftain is high on the list though, as I never could figure out the FAS and I want an alternative to the FdL. Hopefully it will fit my flying style.Out of curiosity, what feature particularly lights your fire in 3.0?

That being #1 on the Top 5 Most Wanted list in the system used to have no consequences was the joke. Now finally being a criminal means something in the game.
Got a few days off work from Wednesday, I think hoping for it be live by then is asking to much.

Frankly my money is on when you recover, most of the bugs will have been ironed out giving you a much better first impression then those who hit play the second the game finished updating. Best time to be playing new updates is usually about 3 week or so from launch.

I've got to admit, this update has way more things I'm interested in than the last couple of patches! Looking forward to getting my hands on it!

It's 7 weeks as of today to the end of Q1, so you could be better before 3 goes live.
I suspect that you are right there. I'm usually wondering what the new big bug is going to be with each new patch! The beta seems to be ok though!

Buy an X-box controller and go exploring, take a bunch of 'before' screenshots. If you're still in dry dock when 3.0 is released you can go back & take the 'after' shots

6 months but it's been a long 6 months before getting it sorted out. Work has been great though and very supportive while I'm dealing with this!I do hope you didn't have to wait for fours years before they decided to give you surgery, adding to that I had a 23 degree sciatic list when my disk went...backs still not right almost 10 years later, on a more cheerful note I think when it does drop it might bring me back into the game.

I've been making a little money here and there to buy the Chieftain, and maxing out data and mats to make engineering it go smoother. I probably won't fly any other ship for a while. I really liked it in the earlier beta, and they buffed it! The fools! Hahahaha. *ahem*

Personally, I've stocked up on arsenic, chem manipulators, datamined wake doodahs .... just so I can max the FSD on my T-10 ready to go off and explore in it for a while and enjoy the new planetary visuals. [heart]

Without getting all 'wishy-washy', I have to say gaming has saved me from going nuts after two boughts of spinal/disc surgery on my neck. While convalescing my 1st pc game (at about 42 years old) was given to me by my son. Little did he know that he was creating a bit of a monster. The results of all my issues has culminated in me becoming disabled.
What was supposed to keep me entertained while I got back on my feet, has turned into my most important sanity anchor. Well almost the most important, my Wife, Son, and Dog keep me from digitizing myself. But, gaming saves me from boredom, and those 'idle hands' my Mother was always worried about.
Let us all wish you the best and speediest recovery possible. I look forward to helping your time on the forum be well spent.

PPS personally i am looking forward to the actual new thargoid (is the the scout?? ) (all the rest are kind of the same with ship kits on visually at least, just with more weapons.

I too am waiting for 3.0 to drop before heading out again. I want to see some pretty planets. And given some of the more pronounced elevation changes I found on the planets, I'm taking TWO srvs. Just in case...
