The waiting for Q1 to go live...

I'm on an Elite break until 3.0 goes live. After playing the beta I don't want to play 2.4 anymore, lol. I want to explore colorful planets!

Instead I'm keeping busy with Civilization VI. I'll keep conquering world's until Elites world gets updated...

hehe this is why I dont play the beta's any more. I used to be right in there testing, providing feedback and submitting reports but it also always killed my ability to play the base game until the new build went live.

Ooops... Double post due to a forum delay... See my more recent comments later in the thread. :)

Best wishes on your recovery.

I also think that you'll be in fine shape before 3.0 drops. FD hasn't even announced anything yet. Once they do, it'll likely be a couple of weeks before the actual update.

I'm looking forward to the new engineering system. I've been preparing some of my modules to be redone. G5 here and there, but not all.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. I am looking forward to 3.0 dropping live, problem I have every time a beta comes out is that I play it and then when it ends, I CBA to play the unpatched version until the new one comes out! :D This is the case here as well, I haven't fired the game up since the Beta finished, instead I went back and played the original Mass Effect over the weekend from beginning to end, where I really should have been collecting mats 🤤

Hello Cmdrs,

Well, like many others, I'm waiting for 3.0 to go live. I've flown my ships back to Jameson's Mem (from Colonia) a week ago so that I can get on with the re-engineering when it does.

However, I suspect I'll be late to the party. I had a discectomy on Wednesday (removal of a prolapsed disc) and I am currently laid up at home convalescing from my surgery. I'm not expecting to be doing very much for at least 4 (probably 6) weeks while my back heals. I suspect that Q1 will have gone live long before then...

However, I get to play the forums for the next month instead! :p I'll be eagerly awaiting your posts on all the new features!

... Every cloud has a silver lining!

Speedy recovery!

Is there any news on wehn 3.0 will be live?

I’m waiting too, and muchly looking forward to it. Best of luck with your recovery, it must be super boring also ? ...Will you measure one inch shorter now ?

Flimley

Hi Frimley

Thanks for your good wishes!

Boring...? Oh yes! I can't play ED! I'm Stuck on the sofa passing the day! At least I have my tablet to browse the forums and net... It gets old real quick though!

As for being an inch shorter... Lordy I hope they haven't taken that much out of my spine!

When it goes live, you'll so wish you had been collecting MEF! [haha]

Funny how we have reached a point where we are nail biting for some changes to the game:rolleyes:
Looking forwards to some changes...maybe another popular player opportunity will pop up from it all[where is it]
Can't wait!!!

Just wanted to add that I hope your recovery is swift and the wait is well worth it upon your return. When I had my Bone marrow transplant I thought I was going to go nuts. Keep sane and heal fast CMDR:D

Out of curiosity, what feature particularly lights your fire in 3.0? :D

To answer this question, several things actually:

- Cure for Beige - Planets have color again and are more interesting than ever! Looking forward to exploring again like I haven't in over an entire year!!!!
- Improved T-9 with improved cargo capacity, I'm going to use it with the...
- Improved trade data and functions, making trading much more interesting and engaging.
- T-10 landing bug is finally fixed!!!
- Increased mat storage, I won't have to constantly throw mats I find on planets away anymore!
- New Chieftain is a fun combat ship which I plan on using against the....
- New Thargoid Scout! Finally an alien combat challenge I can partake in and enjoy.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery OP!

Was in your shoes myself a while back following a car crash (Multiple vertebrae fused, both shoulders rebuilt, Thoracic and Lumbar spine irreparable, yadda). If what I went through is any indication, they will want you up and about as soon as is feasible so your spinal muscles do not go soft. Be forewarned, I started getting testy with my spouse and mother after a while because they wouldn't let me slack off when it came to PT and Rehab - looking back I know they were only protecting me from myself, but at the time I was rather short with both of them and said some things that I regret in retrospect. I have since apologized and never miss an opportunity to show my appreciation for al they did during a very trying and low time in life.

In any event it might help if you have someone temporarily move the PC to the living room and connect to the TV - that way it might be feasible to hook an Xbox controller up so you can fly whilst reclined.

Hope this helps, and remember that this too shall pass.

Best of luck to you on a speedy recovery

I started prepping some time ago. Flew back to the bubble to make some money for a chief (if I decide I want one - still on the fence) and I'll now need to re-engineer all of my ships, then ship the parts out to Colonia. That's going to take some money.

My wife and her sister decided they wanted to play, so there is that, too.

OUCH!

Well, here's to a speedy recovery Kiddo! :)

As for the eagerly awaited release of 3.0...

I've got my money on either Tuesday, Feb. 27th or Thursday, March 1st. Both fall in the same week, are FDEV's two favorite days of the week to release new stuff, sit nicely near the end of Q1 and come at just about the right number of days after the close of a Beta for an actual public release. :)

We shall see if I am right, and which of those two days ends up being the one. Not sure if Frontier has decided that yet. ;)
