Since "Beyond" is now apparently Elite Dangerous 3.0 what exactly am I getting for my LEP?

I think that's all the original OP wanted, some official reassurance, .......

Perhaps I should have posted this graphic from the "Expo" in the clear to illustrate why the 3.0 numbering led me to ask if anyone knows about the future paid content:

(I have removed the "spoiler"-masked one in an earlier post)

As you can see, no "3.0" on there but two large release circles with two smaller "content update" circles. (This graphic I think is the source of my confusion.)

Of course I am happy that things are as they stand and am quite aware that there will be some upcoming "paid content". I am not asking for any changes or complaining in any way, just a bit of info about what is proposed.

This isn't the first time the question has been asked. You aren't going to get an answer until there is an answer. It's a typical "Nothing to reveal at the moment". For me, it's less about waving you away, more about saving you time and energy. Nothing about the LEP entitles anyone to any content or information until it is actually available. A season pass is even safer to invest in than a LEP. You were never even guaranteed the game was going to launch when it was initially purchased.

I feel you've missed the point of my post.

You're getting buyer's remorse, that's what.

Don't be such a .... I said I was not complaining and am quite happy with things but want a bit of clarification. I certainly don't begrudge the money I have paid - I spend a lot more on flight sim stuff, as I mentioned before.

*sigh*

Not true. He said MOST would be better, but high-end superrolls would beat the new system. He said that multiple times, literally, explicitly and as clear as could be. He even recommended keeping your godroll modules in the latest stream. I agree something needs to be changed, but please stop making stuff up.

This is incorrect. They have been thoroughly tested in beta and the new mods have been shown to beat even godrolls in virtually every case. As they should. The few specific exceptions (railguns and PAs), Sandro promised to address, because it is of paramount importance that no one should be able to have modules with hereafter unobtainable stats. That would be both unfair to new players and bad for game balance. Can't be allowed.

...DLC/... no additional charge...

All the pay-for dlc they are going to release

Skins are DLC; LEP holders have to pay for their skins like everyone else; LEP holders do NOT get ALL DLC for free...

Not happy with the micro-transactions. When I bought my LEP, FD hadn't even mentioned anything resembling micro-transactions.

Those who don't own a LEP, be grateful you will never feel the amount of betrayal that the LEP holder does.

This has been one of the most acidic, passive-aggressive and egotistically self-righteous threads I've read in a while and the funny part is that the topic is cold fish. The OP was answered in the first three posts and the other ten pages are competitive sanctimony. Started out entertaining but now I feel sick to my stomach and hope the world ends. No hope for either side of humanity.

I doubt FD would just hang the LEP owners out to dry and hide behind technicality.

Agreed. Although I respect the opinions of those that are happy with theirs, I have reservations over the value promised, versus the value delivered. Miles apart.

Delivery is over the lifetime of the game. As the lifetime of the game seems to be some time in the future I don't know how you come to this conclusion.

From what I've seen, most LEP owners aren't complaining.

That's probably because most of us have pretty much given up, FD never answer any questions, nothing is ever clarified, the DDF was pretty much just a way to get us to add funds to help with expected features that were then dropped, while resources were wasted on things we were not told about (and pretty obviously wouldn't interest a large proportion of those backing the game) such as the arena game and the non LEP players all get angry about entitled crying as soon as anyone mentions they have an LEP.

There are a lot of us who spent a fair bit more than even the OP who are seriously disillusioned with this game and feel let down by FD who were very communicative while gathering our money and then went radio silent as soon as game released.

It wouldn't hurt them to say something like "paid content will include new mission trees" or "paid content will add customisable captains cabins to ships" or something equally vague but encouraging without over promising.

It's okay. I forgive you.

Just don't edit me in quotes again.

It's rude.

Accidently deleted part of you thread and replaced it but autocorrect on my phone reared its ugly head.

Dont act on your assumptions as they can end up being the mother of all mess ups.

But I forgive you for your assumption.
