If you link eddb, also link EDMC. EDMC is a small tool that uploads data from stations (planets, systems, ...) you visisted to the database underlying eddb.

I'm familiar with most of these but not hotdoy.ca Wow! thanks for this, it should save me from endlessly flying north and south trying to find that elusive landing site. :)

I agree. I think modern usage has made it a derogatory term.
I don't think it was meant that way originally.

It's a bit like the way people use the word 'peasants' nowadays.
But in their day peasants were quite respected members of society.

Frep. I just spent ages putting a list of about 50 links, then lost the lot :mad:

I can't be bothered to write it all out again. Maybe tomorrow.

Unless anyone knows how to recover the autosave that the site does?

Not sure about this forum but in another one to which I belong you just start a new post and the option comes up.
There's a box bottom left corner - usually it's scrolled off the bottom of the page.
However once you start a new post, as you've done, the old one disappears - so it's lost.

If I do a long and/or complicated post I normally do it in Notepad and save manually, then I transfer it to the forum adding the link, image video tags etc as I go.

Perhaps I'm being over sensitive and not exactly a newbie myself, but is the thread title not a little bit insulting and elitist (no pun intended) to new players, even if meant in jest. It does not exactly paint a very good picture of how they are regarded by the old guard. And FDEv need the ongoing revenue from "plebs" discovering the game for the first time.

Perhaps a mod could review..?
