News Skimmer Massacre Mission - Temporary Removal

Did somebody say care bear?

I feel like skimmer missions were problematic since their introduction. They need a redesign.

So "temporary" like the nerf to long range bulk passenger missions has been "temporary" ?

The passenger mission type wasn't removed temporarily, it was nerfed, you just need to read the post.

Right now it's a temporary removal, the missions will come back but with different completion mechanics.

Just make sure it's an appropriate nerf and not obliterating the mission type, as seems to so often be the case (haven't done a single passenger mission since 2.4.03).

bugs that have been in the game that effect gameplay for months nobody bats an eye, way to make money and let people enjoy the game? "INSTANT FIX TOP PRIORITY"

I like how you link making money to enjoying the game, very sneaky.

I disagree of course.

I didn't use the abuse methods or know them, but these missions were on my staple list of making a little coin (albeit a very far cry from the reported earnings that people reported on stacking them in specific systems / goals).

Sad to see them gone.

You misunderstood. The additional multiplier that was applied to long range bulk passenger missions was "temporarily disabled" and we're still waiting for them to be re-enabled. These missions have been "temporarily" removed but you can be sure you'll be waiting a long time for them to be re-added.

I actually did a couple while I was in Colonia with no combat capable ship, but yes, its a good point.

And once again, those of us who just take the one or two that appear on most mission boards bear the brunt of this.
