The new credit meta (20M a MINUTE) (Clickbait but you'll click it anyway)

I'd say the game is buggier right now than I've ever seen it before. Friends list corrupted, not working last night, respawning after destruction in random stations, bizarre mission glitches.

Oddly enough though, im having an outrageous amount of fun by comparison. I see what Fdev is trying to do with 3.0 and I'm pretty impressed.

Agreed, 3.0 is in good waters.

dude, i was just about to finally log in for a while, and you tell me this???

I'm pretty good at ignoring bugs, but last night was bad even by my standards haha. Despite this, it was damn good playing; most fun I've had in a long time, and the first time I've felt optimistic about "forward progress" in ED since the announcement of 2.4.

I don't understand why feeling would be compromised? You don't have to even play with others. It's single player game, even when you're playing in open you do everything alone. People in this game are just background in space like NPC's -beside spamming stupid "o7" everywhere. So what's the point? Most time with people we are spending on forums not in game.

Why do you care that I care? You could just not read my posts or act like I don't exist.
See what I just did there? ;)

Anyway, people already posted lots of reasons why they care and most of them weren't "I can't stand it when others have a good time." You can either understand or accept these reasons or not. But I don't think it makes much sense to argue about it. I don't understand why you want to have exploits in the game either and I am clever enough to figure out that you couldn't explain it to me. There is no point in wasting our time, especially since the discussion isn't even interesting.

well, i'm itching anyway. can't help, will go for a ride!

Agreed 100%. Honestly any mission giving commodity rewards is a bad idea in my opinion. Material rewards instead would be a good change, one they don't need cargo space, and two they are much more useful.

It's needed now for the Tech Broker unlocks.

As long as it's not the same commodity they ask for, why not?
Isn't it possible for refinery station to be filled to the brim with - say - Water, that they're willing to exchange for something they need more urgently?

It's that idea that there might be multiple ways to get things.

Noob: "Hey, I need Bromellite to unlock that Engineer."
Salty Dog: "No worries, go mining or look for missions that give Mining Commodity rewards."
Noob: "Erm ok, mining seems a bit boring, what kind of missions?"
Salty Dog: "Erm, mining missions."

So the dumb thing is not so much that mining missions give mining rewards, more that no other mission type does.

Here's the fix.

Don't have commoddities as mission rewards (who wants them anyway?)

Makes sure those commodities you removed from missions rewards, are obtainable in another way (purchase, salvage, mining)

Problem solved.

I am pretty sure FD will do something horrible to fix this though.

When they added Cargo rewards as an option I kind of rolled my eyes at it because it seemed so pointless. But, thanks to Cargo rewards I was able to unlock one of the Engineers without mining a single ton of Bromeleit myself. So I guess they sort of serve a limited purpose. Now I just need to find some missions which offers Kongga Ale and Fujin tea as one of the rewards.

Overall though ugh yeah I think they could probably remove Cargo rewards altogether and it would be no loss to the game. Certainly better than removing all mining missions.

I did regular schlep and retrieval missions to get my Bromelite. It's not just mining missions that give out those rewards. Still dumb, though. Arguably mining missions should be the only missions that *dont* give out mined materials as rewards.

Hmm, not sure I've ever seen any other mission type offer them. Maybe it was a brief moment of clarity for FD that came and went.

Yup. Agree. I love the additions too, but it's a bit buggy for sure. That's not a surprise though, we had plenty of bugs in the old versions as well, so nothing different really.

They reduce a some of the most time consuming scavenger hunt for unlocking engineering.

More "The Year without playing bugged ED" for me. But here is more fun than in game really :D
I hope it'll be year without bugs, but so far, there's been quite a few. I usually only experience one or two, but there's been a couple now, and the one that bugs me the most is the sound cutting out for me. Haven't seen anyone else having this problem, so I can't be sure if it's my machine only. But I know it's relating to the game though because it's not happening with my Amazon music player. The music is continuously without interruption, but the game goes in and out. It doesn't ruin the game, but it's annoying.

For me exploit /bug is connection open/solo/group to one world -first online game in history with such thing. And no one cares about it since release. People can avoid other players in groups and do BGS, CG's and Power Play. That is why I don't care how much credits someone has and how, because this game is broken since 2014.

It can't be an exploit or bug because it's working as intended and by design.

yop, true true. Fix exploits and wipe all players or shut up about exploits.

I am afraid that is a design choice which was advertised since way before release. You don't like it, which is fine but it is a core feature of the game you bought not a bug. I find if features of a game annoy me too much I vote with my wallet. Ie starwars battlefront and destiny 2. With star citizen ripping out core features of that I am seriously considering refund on that too. Feature which you will no doubt like (PvP slider to remove interaction from players outside of a white list was a key feature for me)
