Live and let live?

I don't care that someone is earning more than me, but I DO care when players as a whole can earn credits quickly enough to make them trivial. FDev balances a variety of things via credits, rebuys and crime and punishment being the easiest examples. If credits become trivial, then those balance levers vanish.

Not everyone just cares about themselves, and their personal performance in the game. Some people actually care about the game's health and over all balance.

Think, "I want my kingdom to be the best it can be, but I don't necessarily want to be its king."

This is actually a very good point.

This is actually a very good point.
Consider how missiles and torpedoes were balanced: limited ammunition, very high cost to reload, very high damage. Players were supposed to have to think about firing a missile, because it was expensive. Of course this is a legacy thing these days as ammo costs have become completely trivial at this point, but that's why missile launchers and torpedo racks are empty when you buy them.

Some people won't get it, and they are probably a sadder case than the ones who really are jealous, but I want people to get the most fun as possible out if this game.
I have it all, but know that all the memorable moments I have had, came in smaller ships when I had little money, no clue as what was meta. I want people to have the same great time.

Sure, some people won't enjoy what I did, and might as well have the Uber conda fleet, but i suspect that many who think that money is the answer, are in no position to make that decision. I won't particularly criticize those who take all the available non exploits, but I WILL make my point and warn them that they may be ruining their game.

Is it? Can we tack on the cost of loading them to the cost of buying them then, and stop the stupidity? Because it is pretty stupid nearly every other weapon is sold fully loaded.

Well, I was there in the beginning, and earned by money and Corvette the 'hard way'.

I'm very happy for anyone that's enjoying the game. I'm very happy for everyone who gets to experience my favourite ship (Corvette). Life's too short for ridiculous jealousies, and happiness is not in finite supply.

Live and let live. It's a very fine sentiment.

Good ol Draconis 17
Did 25 Sidewinder jumps to get there.
Flew home from Diauguandri with my Conda, almost A rated, after 6 hours or so.
At first I just wanted to get an ASP and a Python... but the temptation won.

You had a different perspective on this when you were young and your heart was an open book. You know you did.

You may be right. Cynicism comes with age, and I fully plan on becoming an extremely grumpy old man (and revelling in it). :D Not there yet, though...

Is that even a question? Guns N Roses of course :D

No, it's certainly not a question that should illicit much disagreement, anyway. :D
