Modes Play in open is not what some would have you believe!

NPCs are a sad joke in this game, my D rated stock ASP can just boost in straight line and escape any NPC. I never encountered NPCs with TLB, emmisive, corrosive or inceniary effects. Not sure they even engineer their weapons.
It says on their web site, on top of "hunt other commanders", on the kickstarter website it also says "dog eat dog enviroment ".
There are plenty of people in Open that are willing to be hunted or eaten! That's why those people play there! It's up to the hunter, and hungry, to find them!
I keep seeing this description and can't help thinking that the complaints of those that desire direct PVP because 'modes cheat'...don't like the idea of cutthroat play!
If you deliberately screw with a PF via SOLO you are basically cheating and a worse than noob killer. You are ruining someones PF progress by deliberately going into where they can't hunt you, dont know about you, and can't see you. This is exploiting the system and the amount of damage you are doing is much worse than killing clean cmdrs for no reason.
At least ganking has C&P system to counter it, this exploit however is disgustingly supported by the broken unbalanced mode system.
Working as intended.
Cheating is abusing game bugs to earn over a billion credits / max rep in a few hours.
Playing in Solo and using the BGS is a game feature added from the start.
Trying to dump on everyone else wont help you get improvements to PvP.
If anything, it will go the other way and help to get more support for restricting PvP, paving the way to removing it -like World of Warcraft is now doing.

If you look into system stats, you can see your influence %. When it goes down, you can get it back up by working the BGS yourself.
Oh, and those words you use: "cheating", "exploit" I don't think they mean what you think they mean

Maybe, just maybe, as I have said before, it is a community thing. I am on XBONE and really have not seen anything like this. I have never been insulted by anyone nor seen any offensive chat. Or is it time zone? I am US east so would rarely see anyone from the Euro time zones. But my experience tells me that should not be an issue, I have met many gamers from over there and they are quite cool folks, plus I work for a large British construction company so I have many UK co-workers, all fine chaps!
I am US east as well, ussualy lots of salt in the comms in busy areas. Maybe xbox not as popular.
Just the person you replied to thinks he bought a space truck simulator and surprised that he is indeed attacked rather than being offered a discussion about the weather or other small talk.

Open mode is a mode to shoot everyone, not sure what game you bought but it was advertised as hunting other commanders, and I am sure love me some huntin', while being hunted as well.
No it isn't, not when people can block you from their game.

Wonder how many are actually still in Open and didn't jump modes - they just blocked you.
Now that is some info I'd like Frontier to spill, number of players on block from other players.
Yet you whine and moan and complain about the other modes which as you so graciously admitted.. ARE ADVERTISED. But you blatantly ignore that and cling like the NRA to AR-15s to "Advertised as hunting other commanders" and ignore all other parts of the advertised game. Well by golly you can do that, yet it isn't enough for you because you hoot and holler and raise as much of a ruckus as you can because you cannot hunt EVERY commander that plays the game, because the game is NOT what you want it to be.... it isn't Call of Duty, it isn't EVE, it isn't PUG, or Battle Ground or any other fully PVP game... IT IS ELITE DANGEROUS and what you cling to so arrogantly and want to force on everyone else is just a tiny small part..

Intresting, I guess my 60mil bounty is from killing npcs, although the last NPC I killed was about 6 months ago. But tell me more how there are no targets.
