I get about 70-75 in stations. 75 everywhere else. All settings high except AA on lowest (FXAA?) and shadows on medium

OK how is everyone handling chat? Currently I am just ignoring it but it would be nice if there was some way of engaging in text chat. I saw SlackRs ideas with voice attacke but don't have that prog.
Would be good to have some kind of menu with standard responses (like "sorry i am in a rift so can't talk!)
Is there any way of getting dictation software working with ED I wonder?

Voice Attack didn't cost that much (was it 8$?), so where is the Problem? This Software is made to control Games and other Things.
And for Voice Commands and Voice Chat: Push to Talk. Push a Key to deactivate Voice Commands and speak in the Voice Chat or the opposite: Push a Key to use a Voice Command and deactivate Voice Chat so long.

Cost really isn't the issue. The issue is I have enough buttons on my HOTAS so don't need Voice attack and SlackRs solution did not seem to offer enough to make it a worthwhile solution for text comms which is what I was talking about btw, not voice comms
I'm in the same boat as this. I got myself a HOTAS so that I didn't have to use Voice Attack (even though it is very good, I prefer not to use it).
So an option for text chat would be great. Not sure what can be done though, it's not really what the Rift is designed for.

Yeah, I haven't been in a Type 6, but I was looking at a Type 9 from my Viper.. and I was like "HOLY ****!"I studied the "toes" on the Type 9, and I concluded that each toe on the landing gear is about the size of a huge bulldozer shovel.
Both of the Lakon's are fantastic from inside the cockpit. They provide a whole new perspective of the station interiors!
Type-9 is the most fun in a Rift.
I hated the Anaconda. Alot a real shame.
Having a blast in a type 9 though. Has tons of weapon emplacements, and with 500k shielding it takes a massive beat. Can pretty much sit still and take down anything that want's to go toe to toe with its 3 class 2 and 2 class 4 emplacements.
It's just hilarious to dock as well. You can literally charge anything in your way.
I docked earlier as a Hauler NPC was coming out, I just went through it like it wasn't there. All I heard was Fizz Fizz Fizz...........boom (echo)... 1 Contact Lost
Oh and EVERY dock is a huge payday. at least 150k and usually 300k+ without really even trying (I don't want to spend 5million on my cargo for 500k profit, happier spending 1.7m for 350k profit)

I am trying to get steady 75 fps, but it is just not happening! I get mid 60s consistently and 70 occasionally, but i can't seem to get 75 stable, of course if there is a station in my fov the frame-rate drops to about mid to high 50's. From what I have read so far it seems ED is cpu bound right now and intel chips seems to have the upper hand as they have better single core performance than the Amd chips. Looks like I am gonna have to go the Intel route!

Have given this a good bash in my DK2 now, and like Ryder35 already said, I am getting over double the frame in the latest beta compared to using my DK1!
Happily, this means I am now locked at 75fps on medium settings at all times, even in stations etc. (where before was getting 35fps on my DK1!).
The DK2 is pretty much behaving like I expected, it really is fantastic to finally be able to lean towards all the UI panels and be able to read all the small text
Absolutely loving it!

Really glad you are seeing the same. It is odd that the DK2 performs better than DK1 but I am very happy it does. I was really worried that something was wrong with my new PC when DK1 was so poor in terms of frame rate.
