Still no love for the Clipper.
(sits in the corner and cries.....)
THIS. My Clipper is my favorite ship, and she's woefully plain compared to the rest of my fleet.
Moar Clipper things plz?

As mentioned elsewhere I'm not a fan of the new paint scheme.
That said, I can't believe some of the comments earlier about the cost of these cosmetic items!
I'm sorry, but if you're a kid living at home and having to ask Mum & Dad to use their credit card, I understand that you might want a new paint scheme for the game. However, they., I'm sure, work hard for their pay, and doubtless may baulk at giving you money for some cosmetic item in a video game! This doesn't entitle you to ask for it for even more of a pittance than it already costs!
If you're a grown adult, then frankly you should know the value of your own money. Three pounds is less than the cost of a pint in my neck of the woods. If you decide not to spend that on a cosmetic video game item, I commend your responsibility. For those that willingly pay it, taking it for what it is, I commend your support of a British company. For those that want to complain about the price, I refer you to the previous paragraph intended for children!

Not bad. Finally a fun pack for the Cutter. Got a feeling I'll be seeing a few at Jameson.
Make the Big Ships easy.... sell them paint in the store. Am I alone in thinking the store greed is damaging this game?
Considering that the Imperial Clipper features so prominently in one of the central ED novels, yes, I'm surprised too.
It's not about fame. It's about how many people fly the ship regularly so it pays off to come up with a paintjob. That's why my favourite ships like Keelback and Viper MkIV will never receive a proper love from FD.
If the keelback had some decent paintjobs, I'd probably get one![]()
They work on this game all the time, 3.0 is out, and free... Do you work for free? I sure as hell don't. If they can operate ED on the income of the store selling paints and ship kits, then let em. If not, either the game dies, or you log in to buy a 'Farragut Card' worth 100 Million credits for a mere $129.99 US.
I'm already dreading the reality of Red Dead 2, last thing we need is a nice company selling aesthetics getting crap for needing to pay their bills.
Many people won't be happy unless they get paid to use the skins. 1 pence would be "too much".
As someone who spend a fair amount on the store: yes, one pence would be too much in many cases for me on general principle. FD abused a half-a-decade old poll about how they could monetize things as an excuse to pretty much lock ALL cosmetics behind pretty daft prices. Sure "a paint is just a pint". But its absurd I have to pay a pint to make my spaceship blue or green or black. Fancy and complex paints? Sure. Novelty things? Fine. Basic flat colors? Outrageous. This isn't a freemium game, and FD should stop pretending it is.
I have the money. I have spend plenty on the store. Still, as a reasonable human being I can easily see how FDs marketing and monetizing behavior is shady at best.
Having played 3.0 extensively, lately...are you absolutely sure about that?
