Passenger Missions Overhaul idea

Good Day everyone,

i have been doing a lot of passanger transport lately and i was never quite happy with how i did that.
I love the idea and i understand why you can't go full on sim mode on that subject.

So i started thinking about how i would make it better. And i think i came up with a really nice idea without even adding too much to the game. All system are pretty much already in place.

First of all i would introduce 2 new statistics to the game for every ship.

Security and Comfort. Ships like the Beluga would have higher comfort while ships like the Anaconda would offer a way better Security rating.
Security could be further improved by upgrading your defense and offensive capabilities. The higher the Security rating is the better missions you will find.

Security missions would be:

  • Transporting wanted or hunted passangers to a safezone (Stations or Outpost)
  • Transporting warcriminals or criminals to prisons
  • Transporting scared groups out of war systems
And so on ...

Comfort would be improved through better passenger seats, shiptypes and maybe a stewardess.
The Stewardess would only be a new type Crewmember you could hire. That when active would work not only as a stewerdess but maybe later on, the more "experience" she collects and ranks up, also unlock more things that simply add "comfort".

Comfort missions would be:
  • Long Range transportation
  • VIP transportation
  • Tourist Beacon Mission
And so on...

This system would not only make Ships like the Dolphin and the Beluga really useful, it would also greatly help with coordinating and balancing passanger missions.

If high paying passengers missions would need a high comfort, you'd have to invest in your Beluga and Stewardess to reach the levels of comfort needed for the comfortlevel you'd need.
This system would also offer a lot of space for new modules. You could drop a passenger cabin to build in a Bar for instance. Which would allow you to take higher value missions but less of them.

I am a minmaxer from nature in games like this. Which often feels like a bad thing. Since if i'd use the beluga, i could stack 1 less mission compared to my Anaconda. And that is a shame.
With the system i am mentioning above, it would offer the player vastly more possibilities on how to approach and build his own transportation ship.

Any Thoughts? :3

The first thing Frontier should look into is the frequency of anonymous passenger missions versus the VIP missions and the cabin class requirements for named NPC transport. As it is, you find many more named passengers than "Transport N buisnesspeople" pretty much anywhere.

Yep this needs looking at, what's the point of having class 6 passenger cabins if most of the missions available are for a VIP and their 5 friends, alternatively make it so VIPs don't claim the entire cabin for themselves, those snobs need to learn to share.

I think that's not a bad idea, Could use more anonymous passenger missions as well though that has already been mentioned. But to vip's i find it very odd that a vip would need 16 slots to himself, why not limit it to something like 6?
