>3000 shields on a Corvette?

7C fast charge biweaves, 3x res aug, 3x hd boosters, all with super capacitor special are on my Vette. The shield wanes and waxes like the moon over the course of a combat zone session, but very very rarely do I actually need my dual A7 SCBs. And when I do, the shield goes from 1/2 ring to full.

MY pvp vette stands at a little bit over 6000Mj with 45/43/51 resistances with a reinforced Prismatic shield. Not 100% sure about the boosters im not playing Elite atm but i think 3 thermal resistant shield boosters, 3 Heavy duty and a resistant augmented one. Also a heat sink and two 7A SCB.

Like, how? :)

I've started engineering my shields on the corvette and am running thermal resist (g5 I think!) with 3 x resistance augmented (g5) and 1 heavy duty (g2). I've the resistances in the high 50s and 60s percentage-wise but the shield strength is only 1471. How the heck do you see figures in the 3000s?? Will the heavy duty G5 make that much of a difference? The problem is finding all the materials, even with trading is a right pain :)

Mind you saying that - I am taking a heck of a lot of a beating in fights now, so clearly something is working :)

Thermal g5 size 7 bi-weaves and 6x heavy duty shield boosters, something about 2.6k MJ I believe. Which is sufficient in PvE.

I have 7A Prismatics with Grade 5 Heavy Duty Legacy Mod combined with 6 x Grade 5 Heavy Duty Shield Boosters, 2 x Grade 5 Thermal Resistance Boosters both legacy gives me 6298.5 Mj shields.

Over 5.9k shields on my Corvette, prismatics would be higher.

Allows better survivability against solo attacks against Thargoids, solo threat 5 assassinations missions and versus attacks by multiple large ships. When they fail, I have 7k+ hull integrity.

If I ever see a vette with that many boosters, I know his PP is overcharged and will melt in 4 shots of a super pen. ;)

You have to get the shields down first, though. To that end, I'm really liking what I'm hearing about flechettes. I have a feeling the days of the Corvette/Cutter pilot sitting behind a bazillion mjs eating grapes while the turrets pick off targets is going to be a thing of the past once people become proficient with these things.

Here's my pre-3.0 Corvette loadout. Reinforced Prismatic with 8X HD boosters, 8.1 MJ:

My pre-3.0 PSG turned out to still be better than the best obtainable post-3.0 G5 reinforced, so with 8X post-3.0 HD boosters, I got it up to 9.2 MJ:

Obviously, that loadout is just for show. For fighting, I run 2X Thermal Resist:

My pvp corvette has 3800MJ, thats a pre 3.0 build, didn't had the time to rebuild it.
My pve corvette has 4100MJ, this one is already partly re-engineered (the shield generator and two boosters).
Both use prismatic shields. The PvE one has 6 boosters, the pvp 7.

So id say, 4500MJ with good resistances should be possible.
In the end its a tradeoff between raw strength and resistance, but resistance has deminishing returns. Its really costly to push thermal over 50%. I normaly use 2 thermic and 1 resistant, that gets you around 45% thermic and 60% kinetic/explosive.

I’ve got mine running 5k shields with 50%+ resistances

It’s a mix of old over/god rolls and current max rolls

The Prismatics were a good over, some of my thermal resistance boosters were great over rolls
The weaker ones (which were HD and Augments), I just posted them onto the new engineer system
I’ve actually got more to play with, hope to squeeze another 500-700mj out of them

I can take on a wing from the new wing assassination missions and leave with more than half my shields up

Here's my corvette build as promised.

Bear in mind this is configured in such a way specifically because I can't currently afford to go reactive bulkheads, so this was a minimum cost, maximum effectiveness, maximum reasonable mj/resists build. It works really well, see vid below...
