So some Friday, possibly before 2019 maybe you'll get answers, right?

Jokes aside, I can't help but have a bad feeling about that "automated process" comment. I don't think its going to work out right.

Should just hire more staff in my opinion.

please be Friday news... please be Friday...please be Friday...please be Friday...please be Friday...please be Friday...please be Friday...please be Friday..please be Friday...please be Friday... Maybe this weekend we'll be celebrating...

Friday is Good Friday and Monday is Easter Holiday in the UK, so don't expect an update today or Monday. So my fault there, being stateside, I completely forgot about those sort of days in the UK.

I am awaiting engineering to parse the sheet and send me a list of all of the rejected, and approved PMF's. From what I can see, there's a preliminary listing of the factions to be processed, but will hold off on posting that in favor of the approval/rejection lists (please don't PM me - i've been bombarded with hundreds of PMF requests over the months to where i can no longer respond in a timely manner (and filled up my quota (10000) for forum PM's already)). With that being said, this addition process may happen before a 3.0.x update or the 3.1 update, which may not include your PMF description right off the start.

Hi Brett,

We are all ears and thanks for the feedback.
Of course everybody being eager and anxious whether one of three made it without being rejected.

Considering your comments of upcoming changes to the PMF process in general - what is your advice in case of a rejection?
Start the lengthy application and waiting process again or stopping and waiting for implementation of a new application system/process?

Happy Easter to everybody!

Thanks for the update Brett C.

Can someone please clarify for me, as i am positive i have seen this somewhere, PMF will be rejected if the the chosen systems already have 7 factions???
If this is the case then i cannot see ours being accepted as all 3 now have 7 factions. I cannot see anywhere in the submission thread, anything that states this. The problem with this, as others have stated before me, is that when you make your application and there are 6 factions you have no idea when the application is looked at to check it meets the specified (or unspecified in the case of the 7 faction limit) criteria.
I am, and others are unwilling to spend my nights running BGS missions to keep the faction space open from the moment of application untill acceptance 6 to 12 months or longer down the line. My point is that if that faction space is lost to another faction in who have expanded into your system at the same (unknown) time that FDev are looking into it, then i'm afraid its a big fat REJECTED

We know. And it's the same for all of us. And yes, 7+ factions are a k.o. criteria or at least were and was never mentioned explicitly in the application thread.
That's why I'm very curious.

Cause our group also only found out later and we had not matched the <=6 faction criteria either. But managed to force a 7th faction in our #1 wish system into retreat in January.
But should FDev have processed our application already months ago and just not having communicated the decision, we still will be rejected even though meanwhile we would match the faction number criteria.

Also you never know whether other player groups had applied for your very system as well. Just thinking about it - best/worst case another group might have applied for our system AFTER we had pushed the retreat.
So theoretically we might be rejected cause our application might have been processed in say October and another group having applied for it in February might get it cause they matched the faction criteria.

Anyway -it's a black box process and we are all at FDev's mercy.

Brett, if we get a rejection notice, could we please have a turn around method or period, because resubmitting and back to the back of the line is really a killer....

I recommended this (deferral status rather than straight rejection when the reason is systems being full) some time ago but received no feedback from Frontier. When dealing with misinformation of what is a max number and huge delays, it is the only reasonable way to deal with this.

Guys, please!
I know we are all in an emotional state of emergency.
But give them now at least a fair chance to deal with the situation and communicate the final outcome.
Should we all feel being screwed we still can rant.
However I hope FDev will positively surprise us.
Let's see.

It was not an issue of system full or not, but more of a "must match allegiance". Many people did interpret that as a native faction has to have the allegiance requested. So, thinking so, we submitted a nearby sys to expand from, but the faction MUST control that system.... Also, I was then told we could "import" a faction with the desired allegiance into our target system.... say I want an Imperial PMF and none is present in the system, you can expand an Imperial MF into it and make it control it to qualify...

Such a BUMMER. If i knew, we would have done the BGS for it and run home....

So, this is all going to fail because rules are so cryptic and vague....

The rule of 7 factions is always applied. And also the one of the "mismatched government" (wrong alignment-government combo).

That rule (alignment alone) was never applied really. A "orphan" faction stole our place in 2017 being Imperial-aligned in the federal system we selected, and was accepted because they (or more likely, HE - 1 person alone) submitted 1 month before us.

I am not worried about faction limits, the systems we lined up in the applications are less than 6. We will see what they do with the alignment bit...

Hi folks, a small update, currently looking at around 40ish factions (this may rise on the final pass) that are going to end up rejected according to our first pass done by the dev team.

Before I get more PM's and bombarded with people wanting to know: I am awaiting a list of approved and rejected minor factions.

Can the rejected factions re-apply immediately?

Thats a worrying number

Please.... Because, now, I am very worried.... A front of the line corrective process would be awesome with w chance to correct/change things to become compliant.

Highly appreciated.

We are all on tenterhooks now...
