Modes Elite Dangerous PvE vs PvP and who needs a Solo play if you had PvE server

You spend more in the Open. In time or in upgrades, as well as skill. And that is unquestionable

Thats exactly how its not balanced. Facing npc vs facing pvp min maxed combat ships yields the same result.

Different difficulty levels yield same rewards.
Its a joke.

@Both of you;

You do not need a min/maxed ship in Open - I've been flying a stock Beluga for a month in Open.
There is no more "risk" in Open than there is Solo.

If someone turns up in Open you don't know / trust or want to interact with, you block them and carry on.

So no, you do not need more "skill", more "upgrades" or spend more "time". And that is a fact.
So you're both wrong.

I do not want to block anyone. I want to overcome all what games throws at me. I want to hunt Goids instead of grinding Condas and stuff. Yet this takes an increased effort, which does not translate into anything.

Of course, I can choose to dodge PvP it in Solo or godmode myself any other way, yet I would hurt my gameplay expirience.

Why do you think money exploits get nerfed?

How you choose to interact with the game and the content is up to you.
Just as is it up to me if I choose to let others interact with me.

There is no more effort using Open than there is Solo, because you can still choose if you want to interact with others while you play the game.

Check out other thread. I found out the cause of such resistance.

Wait... you complain about "hurting your gameplay experience" when you want to do the exact same thing to other people...

You wont be able to block everyone, besides blocking should be removed, hss no place in this game. Fly in open CG in a shieldless build or with stock A shields and we will see how long you last.

Also, except you noone will be sitting in SC and spamming the block button, thats not realistic, and even if few do, who cares everyone are rich anyway, if someone wants to farm open for credits and hassle with blocking other players instead of playing, let them, they won't last long and will be a minorty anyway.

Are you interested in exploration ALGOMATIC? It's the only activity you don't talk about.

For some, that is a valid gameplay mechanic and an interesting challenge in and of itself. Some are really gitted gud at it, and for them it's true PVP real-time emergent gameplay at its finest, at the very pinnacle of skill and creativity in freeform engagement ;)

Well, if enough of such players would assemble, I would agree that this fetish should be quantifiable and rewarded as much as PvP. :)

Somehow, Google Keyboard on my Droid knows word PvP. Does not knows PvE though. And it is a new phone, no exceptions to dictionary were made.

Being able to block other players has been a core feature of MMOs for a while.
It's how companies got rid of Games Master - they are not needed if you can decide by yourself who you play with and don't have to file harassment reports.

Frontier even improved how the block works here, so it does have a place here - because it's not down to you to decide who I play with.

I never fly without shields, you seem to be really hung up on some shieldless boogie man enjoying the game without you.

I won't be spamming anything. Because Frontier don't pander to a minority group stamping their feet.
You want hardcore PvP, get people into CQC. That is why it was built.
The rest of us will continue to enjoy the game as we have done for the past few years.

CqC was a totally misguided effort. And PvP people are minority here for a reason.
Sorry, but no one will run away from your cute little swamp just because.

Oh I question that completely, because you know what that is... your opinion. There are no facts to back it up and plenty of people who fly in Open who say it is hogwash.

The reason PVP are in a minority here is because of griefing. Look through the threads, you will find people who wanted to PVP, but got tired of the over engineered combat ships that had to be towed between systems just to get anywhere. PVPers are a minority because of the actions of PVPers... and that is the ironic part that you all ignore.

Wut? That's insane. Pve players tried to PvP, got rekt by other pvpiers and quit? Lmao is that what you are saying?

I dont think they are such a minorty as you hope, there are enough people to gank and pvp with, we just dont want solo underminers.

I actually don't hope PVPers are in the minority, I want PVPers who want to PVP to enjoy it. But what you claimed I said wasn't what I said. It was PVPers who wanted to but since they just started or been away awhile they can't "compete" with your ganking Death ships.. so they decided to heck with it and just played the game.

If they would just removed engineering on everything concerning offence and defence, and DD mod, all I'd say would be yesplz.

I'd love to see engineering effects only applicable to combat with NPC's, unless the PC target has engineering effects to an equal or greater degree.

Maxed out murdership alpha striking a newb? No problem - it will only hit them like a NPC will and they can escape. Maxed out murdership vs another godroll scrublord? Let them at it, and bonus points to whomever cheated less for the acquisition :D

But I am doing just that. Check latter pages in nearby thread.

Apologies, probably missed it. The signal to noise ratio is pretty low in here.

Better in the sugesstion forums. I saw one of your suggestions, and gave my feedback (sorry, it wasn't positive, but too many flaws) but keep refining the ideas and you might be onto something.
