42 dinosaurs confirmed in JWE!

That's including the Deluxe Edition dinosaurs!

I'm guessing the Stegosaur is Chungkingosaurus from the looks of it.

Really? What a shame that the list also confirmed that Acrocanthosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus will not appear in the game.

My guess is Cacharodontosaurus is being replaced by Giganotosaurus. As for Acro, sad to say it may not be returning if 42 is the whole roster ): here's hoping we see it post launch.

Maybe the one missing dinosaurs pre-deluxe edition added (aka 38) will come with the movie release? So thats potentially indoraptor and 1 dinosaur being added. And there is no Baryonyx either.

Don't forget that it says development build when the video starts, there could still be dinosaurs added before launch.
All this is saying is that there will be at least 42 dinosaurs.
We also do not know if any hybrids are included in the genome library.

Nor was Carnotosaurus.

Although there are a few things to take away from this. We have a new Stegosaur, and it's straight from left field just like Tsintaosaurus. The nigh confirmation of Corythosaurus tosses the trend of three out the window by adding a fourth hadrosaur. It's not out of the realm of possibility that something like a fourth sauropod might get revealed (looking at you, Mamenchisaurus).

Really wished that they'd bother scrolling through the list of the 42. But i bet they intentionally avoided doing that, due to the community being very good at figuring out dinosaurs. But i really dont want to see "Herbivore Jurassic World" either. Atm it seems that there is a obvious extreme majority in herbivores compared atleast.

I am wondering if this new 20 minutes of gameplay from IGN is the finished game or what? I would watch it cause I want to see new improved animations and fixes for the game cause it looks like it's on the same starter/tutorial island. I have watched so many videos of the gameplay reveal dev build I don't really want to watch it again. But I guess I will.

Also I like that there are 42 Dinosaurs and I don't think that is the DLC Dinosaurs. Though I saw that the physical release versions of the game are $60, that's the price you pay when you go for the digital deluxe version on Steam. So I am taking it that the people who buy the physical version for the consoles will get the digital deluxe DLC Dinosaurs.

I was just think of something. How will a Brachiosaurus come out of that Hammond Creation Lab/hatchery? It's small. So there has to be a bigger hatchery for bigger Dinosaurs like the Rex, large sauropods and so on. I guess a Brachiosaurus could come out of there but it's going to look really weird.

I am enjoying being able to hear the game. The sounds are great and so is the music. The rain sound effects are wonderful IMO.

It does not seem to be of the finished game because it still puts "Development in progress" but it seems a version much closer to the final since in the March demo there were 30 dino boxes and here we have 42.

That Carnotaurus, Baryonyx and Allosaurus do not appear only means that there will be TFK DLC, which would make me very sad if it were paid.

It really disappoints me.

im laughing abit at your comment because you are saying that as if the fallen kingdom "DLC" will contain 3+ dinosaurs. Dont get your hopes up on something that will likely only contain the Indoraptor.

Leaving out such important and popular dinosaurs from the upcoming movie as Allosaurus, Baryonyx and Carnotaurus does not make sense.

A DLC with only Indoraptor can not be, I think they will take advantage of the movie by putting these dinosaurs.

Either that or directly add to these dinos in the base game, which seeing this gameplay I doubt enough. 37 dinos in the base game + 5 Deluxe is an appropriate amount if the TFK were inside. Where are the carnivores? Hahaha

The dig sites are there, if they do not put them, it is because they are going to put them later.

I mean, there are quite a few dinosaurs in Fallen Kingdom beyond those three. Enough to warrant, like, a $5 dlc, or better yet, a free update. There's clearly going to be something as Frontier has teased tie-ins with the movie, and it would be silly that this didn't include Fallen Kingdom's dinosaurs.

The notion that it would only include Indoraptor is no short of ridiculous, and if Frontier were to do that, I imagine they would get huge backlash from it, and it would be justified. The more dinosaurs, the better.

BestInSlot did a video about the new information we got today.

I'm being realistic. I'm not gonna expect 10+ dinosaurs because of the movie release. Anyone who expects 5+ dinosaurs for free or as DLC is very optimistic. I will be happy with anything more, but i expect only the Indoraptor. And it will only be a week inbetween so well see what gets released or not. But i bet i'm not wrong.

You clearly never read the Creative Director Michael Brookes Interview
A quote:
"Potentially, there’s post-release content or updates?
Michael Brookes: I cannot comment on that at the moment, I’m afraid. But yes, we’ve got the Fallen Kingdom release in mind, so those things to tie-in with that."

Now tell me, do you really think they are going to let a opportunity for a fully filled Fallen Kingdom dlc slide, and only give us a Indoraptor?

I would say you're being more pessimistic than realistic. Realistic would be that they release the dinosaurs seen in Fallen Kingdom (Baryonyx, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Sinoceratops, Stygimoloch, and Indoraptor). That's only 5 dinosaurs and a hybrid. To be unrealistically optimistic is saying there will be these dinosaurs plus more.

There's no reason to restrict themselves to just Indoraptor, DLC or free update. They stand to make profit. To only include Indoraptor is shooting themselves in the foot, especially considering how popular some of Fallen Kingdom's dinosaurs are.

Most probably we're talking about a FLC after the JWFK release I strongly doubt they'll wait 9 days then releases one more DLC for lets say 5 euros or something. they only hinted about ''Post release Content or updates'' then the question would be if we get some else then new dinos for example... doubt it since it's so close to the release of the game itself. therefore i think it's probably a FLC (hopefully)

I might be wrong but this is what I belive ;)

I think the Dinosaur models are already made. They are just waiting for JWFK to be released first. Then they will release them. I have a feeling it might be a free update, but I could be wrong.

I have the same feeling.
I don't mind paying for good content but so soon after release it would make sense for it to be free.
Another option might be that it comes out a couple of months later with extra buildings and other goodies and maybe even some extra dinosaurs as a paid dlc.
