Surely if England had scored that goal (put it in the net) it would not have counted? I'm not sure on the ruling for that, but there must be one!
The ref decides when you can kick off, and you are not allowed to be on your opponents half during kick-off. The ref didn't give the go ahead, so it was a bit of a farce. He could warn the Croats if they were wasting time, but this was silly. You score a goal in the semi final of the world cup: you can celebrate a bit.
Bet Belgium wished they'd thrown the first England game in the group stage, they are looking the far better team.
It doesnt matter if you lose against france in the semi-final or final, at best it would have resulted in a 2nd rather than 3rd place. But yeah, currently Belgium is just more mature than the English squad. To be honest, England came quite far but never really impressed much against teams that provided any kind of resistance...
