Old glitches are rearing their ugly heads again and this is becoming a typical trend with updates to be game.
I just agreed to a duel with someone in Supercruise, who asked me to drop, then he couldn't fix on me because the low wake showed "Need scan". I'm seeing this myself quite frequently and it's a glitch that has remained for years. So we try that again, only this time he drops in, me being entirely oblivious since there was no indication visually on radar, or through any line of sight, no audio clues except my ship reporting I was under attack and my Hull dropping from phased plasma impacts. No visual clues still even with the external camera. So another fine example of one player seeing you but you can't see them, cross instancing style.
Seen this a lot, with allies shooting at invisible ships where I can see my ally but they are oblivious to me being present and watching them. Absolute joke. To top it all up, I jump into supercruise into what seems to be an empty instance. I'm drifting alone through space and I receive a message from the player that I was interdicted by him and he kept dropping into an empty instance. From my perspective, zero interdiction alert, no visual representation or even the slightest clue I was being interdicted because from my screen none of it was happening. Was he interdicting a duplicate of my ship? A ghost ship in a different instance?! Remember the ghost ships floating around outside stations before when people were docked?
FD, I have been spending a fortune and a lot of time on this game. Please, I would ask that you start to actually test your game properly prior to updates and that you double time it with fixing old glitches that break the game in my opinion. You charge for cosmetics and since there are none really awarded through in game activities, I'd ask that you honour the money you make from this game by at least testing the product properly, because I really cannot remember an update being released that suggests that you do, because they are always buggy, or worse, they reintroduce old bugs.
Sorry, just a little frustrated today with the instancing glitches. It's about time instancing was made properly stable.
