The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different outcome.

They attribute that to Einstein? I thought everyone knew, I said that :D

Pay no attention to the crazy woman. It just encourages her. [wacko]

Ahh, right.

Years ago I was fixing a computer (well, an EPoS system) at a client site. After doing all of the hardware changes I booted it up. After a while (the system appeared to be loading up correctly) it froze, with several lines of garbage in the top left. I rebooted the system, and had the same result. I then thoroughly checked it over, but could find nothing obvious, so I contacted our technical support. Simon picked up the call, and I explained what was happening. He then told me this; "Keep rebooting the system. After 20 - 30 goes it WILL work. I cannot explain what the problem is, or why it happens, or why this works, but I promise you it WILL work." I checked the calendar, and no, it was not April 1st! After numerous reboots the system worked. That system did not generate the garbage screen again, but, from then on, whenever I had to work on that type of system, if I had the same garbage screen I would just continue rebooting it until it DID work.

Interestingly, Monroe was one of seven people on the planet at the time, that Einstein considered to understand General Relativity in its entirety. He considered her incredibly informed and equal to his rock star status for all the right reasons.

Einstein himself, Bohr, Zangger, Besso, Monroe...

Anyone know the other two?
