Nothing really surprising, CIG has been doing rounds with Nvidia already. While I am kinda ok with co-op marketing strategy and advertisement, in-game ship with corporate sponsorship - this is really SC backers signed for?

Any of the german speaking posters care to share the important points of that article. German is also not my forte

I'll check it out.

I read it. It was not too critical but it asked a few questions here and there and added comments that felt like they just think that having 51 millions in a project should equal a game right now. Which I do not agree with. There are stages to development and saying a game has x amount of money and that's why it should be done is wrong.

Other than that I didn't think it was too bad. If they really wanted to know about Star Citizen there are many videos and information about both their website and on the internet.

Wrong. The editor claimed that every question in this 45 min interview was not answerd in an satisfactorily way. All CR was saying "Ships, Hangars, Immersion".
No concrete answers about why they insert fps and no answer about the whole game itself. Just the old pr marketing phrases we all know.

Hey Mr Nowak i do a space ship game in my spare time. You will get everything you want and even more. All you need to do is send me 1000 bucks every month. Believe my word, my vision is great.

Oh forget it, nvidia sent me a tip, i will put a nvidia design on my ships. All for immersion you know

I read the main article in which point does he say that? Also CIG went to Gamescom with focus on 0.9 mainly. They didn't go there to talk about the PU. They always said that the game will be made in several parts so the players can keep playing and each part will be integrated and improved.

A question like why insert FPS is weird because FPS is for ship boarding and some abondoned space stations. All this info is out there. For proper PU interviews they should contact CIG because a lot of magazines interviewed Chris about questions with the PU and Chris answered them all.

In Gamescom 2014 the focus is the near future content that was developed in the 2 months after June.

Oh dear, are you kidding me?

Ok, let's present some of the quotes of the article:

- title of the article: "shrunk to an 'earthly' scale"
- "though a lot of ship details, one can not appreciate when ships are flying at large distances (so what's the point of having those high detailed ships?)"
- "and the cockpits doesn't look better than those of ED or other games"
- "It feels like an ordinary space sim"
- "Not what one might expect considering the millions of euros of premature praise"
- "when the space ship starts rotating around itself after a hit it looks quite embarrassing"
- "the discrepancy between graphical extravagance and actual game play will have to be discussed once SC will reach releace date, at the latest"
- "Hearing the answer about what will be available on planets to visit we are reminded to Peter Molyneux and Richard Garriott: Like with them, one can not be sure whether or not CR is inventing all those features in his answers on the fly while we are asking ..."
- "Isn't there the danger that CIG will lose the focuse with all the planned features? CR seems to not really understand the question and continue to talk about things coming in the next modules ..."
- "But we are not really successful to get the maestro to explain to us the bigger picture of what SC really will be all about. Maybe because he still don't have it himself?"
- "Or maybe he has the picture but is only focusing on little modules step by step?"
- "But maybe he resembles a child which has been given an unlimited budget for toys?"
- "Maybe he is thinking: You will see it when it's finished!"

Ok, so what was it Mr.Nowak was saying about this article?
-> "I read it. It was not too critical ..."

Took me a little bit of time to translate the main ideas of that article. But i guess it was worth it, isn't it? ;)

Oh sorry that the big CR is beyond everything so he doesn´t need to answer the questions he was asked. Maybe he shouldn´t open a booth in the business area to meet journalists when everything is around the internet so everybody should search for themselfs.

"doch die großen Fragen schienen ihn nicht so sehr zu interessieren."
the big questions don´t seem to interest him.

And again what is the point to not answer a valid question about the game? I thought its all on his mind. He has a vision? Maybe the vision is more of a daydream than a written down concept but that can´t be can it? In the end it´s the best developer of the century who wants to produce a space sim, fps, mmo, economy sim, sp and mp- in short the game to end all games.
The proplem in this picture. The best devs, artists etc arent at CIG but at Naughty Dog, Rockstar and other great teams. So how should a team of hired mercenaries top the best dev teams in the world in their spezial zone???
Not gonna happen but CR keeps promising this state.

Back to the beginning why can´t CR answer this questions? It should be easy because he told every backer what he wants to hear already.

Yea I am German btw. I still don't find it too critical. Because it just an opinion. A skeptical one at that like many of you guys here. So nothing too surprising here.

I know you are German, you already said it once.
So your suggestion is:
"Nothing to see here - move along ..." ;)

So how much money did you invest in SC? Just asking. ;) (Never get answered that one! Are you a brother of CR maybe? He is also answering only the questions he likes! ;) )

So I asked these two questions before but none of CIG's resident white knights cared to answer so I'll ask them again:

What would you consider P2W in the current form of Star Citizen? (just a note, you CAN have P2W in a game where you don't actually win in the traditional sense of the word). I mean currently any ships or weapons you want are locked behind a paywall right?

and

The devs have often said that you're not paying for ships, you're paying for the development of the game ("the ships are just extra").
If you're not paying for the ships, why does each ship have a different price?
Why is it that the more you pay the more "powerful" ship you seem to get?
Why not have all ships at the same price and add a slider for how much extra you want to play (like humble does it)?
