Exploration - When worlds colide

Reminder ~25 days until the next collision. July 11, 2018 at ~5:10 am (UTC/In Game Time)
If you plan to be in the Colonia area at that time, you might want to stop by on the 11th

I'll be on holiday then, and later I'll be going on DWE2, but I always return to Colonia eventually. Please keep updating this thread.

Arrived in system this evening. Current surface to center distance (from C to B) is 0.11Ls.
The last time I was here and measured 0.11Ls the collision was 4 days later so it's on scheduled for the 11th

If anyone else is in system and want's to meet up send me an FR on CMDR "Alan Hutchins". I'm on my alt.

Update: 8 July 3304, 20:44 the distance is now in Mm. 23.5Mm surface to center.
It's dark now. Really dark. Had to turn gamma all the way up just to see the ground.

Update: Distance this morning (9 July 13:04) 17.9Mm

Distance is down to single digits now
7.01Mm at 14:15:40 (10 July)
7.00Mm at 14:17:42

Predicted collision is ~15 hours away

This will the second time I've seen the collision here and the second one I'll see this week as I was just at Ellairb SJ-B b42-10 on the 6th for the collision there. That one happens every ~22 days.
I'm surprised there aren't any other ships here for this one. I suppose everyone has already been here and seen that.

Update: Distance 5.27Mm at 19:30:10

My original calculation said November 22, 2018 at ~12:18. Revised based on the last collision time (which was early) would be 11:29, but as always, times may vary by +/- 30 minutes.

Next... and very probably last one !!
Yeah, I heard from someone who was there on the beta that the orbits were "fixed". Bummer.

If that is the case - then let's make a farewell party on the 22nd and get as many Commanders as possible to witness the final collision!

I'm just 11 kylies away. Tempting...

Any chances to predict the exact time of the collision?
See my post above. Due to the orbital eccentrcities and inclination, it’s not easy to be exact. There have been four collisions documented so far. IIRC, the last two predicted times have been within 40 minutes of the actual contact time.

I was there for the second one and the last one. Prior predictions and actual times are earlier in this thread.

The interval is 134.2975139 days, or 134 days, 7 hrs, 8 min, 25 sec.
The last collision was predicted to be on July 11, 2018 at ~5:10 am. The actual contact time was ~04:21 (video on my channel)
The original time for the November collision was predicted to be November 22, 2018 at ~12:18 but based on the last collision time being early it could be at 11:29
All times are based on the in-game clock to avoid confusion and time zone conversion.
