Are you ok hon?

Seriously, have you not noticed? Oh god this is awkward for me to be the one to break it to you.

It's just, it's just recently, well in fact for quite a while now, we have been watching you, and we understand you are going through changes which can be distracting but I think it's probably time someone said something.

It's for your own good, I mean look, you're just embarrassing yourself now.

Edit: When I posted this thread I was referring to the Missing Author story. The link below will take you to the current front page of Galnet

Literally, what are you on about? Could you get any less relevant to the game and the players and the entire community? Am I missing something? Is this code? Do I need to break out a spectrograph and analyse the logarithmic dilation of the rectal cavity you seen to disappeared up?

There are a thousand dramas happening every day in this game. There are victories and losses, log books full of player generated content, there are Ranks being gained and Politics being politiked with lazers and subtle manipulation of the BGS.

Yet you focus on some in game character we can't interact with and who isn't mentioned in any of the resources.

I ask you again, Galnet,

Are you ok hon?

Maybe some kind of GalNet-Silly-Season between Helloween and X-Mas? Right now...here in germany is "carneval-Season". Pure coincidence? ;)

Corsair king?

Is that hidden paid Advertising? maybe thats why this unenecessary news appeared.

I'm wondering if there is an in joke I'm not privy to? Do these articles mean something to anyone?

Did the 17 disciples think to ask if Galnet was OK when they ascended to favoured status ? (Was it 17 that visited FD? I forget.)

Part of me wondered if it was a reference to Drew Wagar and the Premonition thing but then the majority of me is reminded that would indicate some form of interest in the community and that doesn't seem to be what Galnet is for.

Hmmm, my limited Google Fu suggests that 'Corsair King' is some kind of 'Game of Thrones' reference, but as arguably the only person that hasn't watched any GoT I wouldn't know.

I'd really love it if you could find the things mentioned in the articles, like the billion lottery thing some weeks ago.
That would be awesome. Fluff for the fluff's sake on the other hand I do not like.

I haven't watched GoT either.

Why would I, when Tolkien' lore exists?

Im now leaning towards the idea that it might be something to do with Archon Delaine, our very own Pirate King. I heard his Powerplayers all died of boredom.

Anyone heard from Delaine recently?

*Catches sight of self in mirror*

*Realises is so starved of narrative is starting to see mysteries in the inane ramblings of Galnet, who is responsible for narrative famine*

*Frustration intensifies*

Maybe its me, but I like fluff like this in the same way I like the skyrim fluff in books that have no relevance to any gameplay. Its part of worldbuilding. Not sure why it is such a shocking thing in ED.

Because mah' imuhzionz!

I think bots are writing these fluff stories (they're still undergoing Alpha Testing).

These stories are just trying to fill in the enormous blanks since apparently nothing (virtually : nothing) newsworthy ever happens in a human civilization spanning Trillions of Population and some 25000 Systems :D

Now if the old Player-submitted News hadn't been subject to rampant favorism and censorship alike... The Players would easily fill Galnet with stuff that's truly happening or recently happened.
Even that rigged door was closed though, so we're left with "The Silent Galaxy" *shrugs*

PS.
Surprised there's still anyone opening that Menu entry called "Galnet" (?)
Since a long time it felt like it's about as useful and relevant to the Galaxy as let's say... CQC.

I actually don't recall any player submitted news, so it must've been as memorable as the Galnet fluff we get now.
