Have there been any paid expansions that LEP'ers have not received?
Welcome back to the disgruntled LEP thread, we have missed you![]()

Can't find the original promise, but as he acknowledges it there that should be enough for you.

Zac's words:'Another area that we’ve had a number of questions on is the “premium content” coming in 2018.
As many of you will know, we previously mentioned that premium (paid for) content would also be coming within the Beyond season of updates and that Lifetime Expansion Pass holders would be getting this for free. However, as we went through the early stages of what the next era for Elite Dangerous would be, we decided that it would be better to spend that additional time on the future content, rather than bringing new types of purchasable content out this year. When Frontier sold the LEP seasons weren't a thing. The LEP simply said owners would be entitled to all 'expansions', which they still are.
The Horizons and beyond seasons were expansions, and whatever new features and content Frontier sells in the future, whatever the monetization model, will be equally covered.
Nothing has changed.

The question is not if, but how much they have delivered. They raised lots of expectations but they were not able to fulfill them. On a legal basis everything may have been totally correct, no doubt - but for Frontiers reputation I think it was not the best idea to sell a LEP without having something in the books for the next 4 years.
Promise? I'll tell you what was a promise: to give you for free every expansion they might release for the game. A promise they haven't broken.
Zac's post was just an announcement that they would release some paid-for content during the year. Obviously they changed their plants, but I don't see how that's in any way breaking their promise. Breaking their promise would be releasing that content without letting LEP owners get it for free.
What, other than Horizons, has been announced as a paid expansion with an ETA?
Frontier cannot control the expectations of individuals, often based on assumptions made from what they have read, both official and unofficial.
Managing Expectations is a thing.
Weasel words
Correction to that, Zac's post was an *assurance*, specifically :
"rest assured that the lifetime expansion pass owners will be looked after and will be getting their hands on premium content as part of their lifetime expansion pass before the end of 2018"
I mean that's quite reassuring isn't it, LEP owners will be looked after?
So what happened to that assurance, in no way was it fulfilled.
In fact end of 2018 LEP owners had to argue the toss on here for just some sort of update, at which point we were told "plans had changed".
Well thanks for that.
This is a company that thinks they are entitled to people's money, that they can take people's cash and don't have to deliver jack.
Things have changed. The funding model has changed to selling virtual tat on the frontier store to fund the game. They used the up front LEP money to build other games with. If I’d known they were going to do that I’d not have bought a LEP.
Anyway it seems devopment of Elite is back on track so I’m not as disgruntled now. I’d never buy anything like a LEP from them for any other product though because I don’t trust them anymore.

Works as well as Marketing, the two usually go hand in hand.
