Not to sound ungrateful, but no love for LEP?

Have there been any paid expansions that LEP'ers have not received?

The question is not if, but how much they have delivered. They raised lots of expectations but they were not able to fulfill them. On a legal basis everything may have been totally correct, no doubt - but for Frontiers reputation I think it was not the best idea to sell a LEP without having something in the books for the next 4 years.

There are lots of secondary arguments, like a very delayed delivery of Horizons (which in fact was stretched to 2 years instead of one - we all remember the sneaky change on the website WITHOUT informing the community), the very unfinished patches in 2015 which needed a lot of bugfixing, the beyond-season which is in fact a joke and didnt bring the game forward, the open kickstarter-goals, the things that we have seen already in cologne 2 years ago, all this things are missing - and my personal impression is that FD has lots of internal problems with Elite, for whatever reason - technically, financially, staff-site - I don´t know.

But instead of having a transparent communication with the community we have all those "amazingamazing"-CM´s that have to do the information management - and that does not work out - at least for me.

I also might add that Mr. Braben seems to have no interest in this game anymore. Also a reputation thing - looks like Elite is an unimportant, small project where Junior-Designers and Junior-Devs can practice for the "real" projects like the Dinos. Which would be ok if everything would be transparent.

What dropped promised content ?.
Zac promised it for this year, then they changed priorities.

Zac's words:'
Another area that we’ve had a number of questions on is the “premium content” coming in 2018.

As many of you will know, we previously mentioned that premium (paid for) content would also be coming within the Beyond season of updates and that Lifetime Expansion Pass holders would be getting this for free. However, as we went through the early stages of what the next era for Elite Dangerous would be, we decided that it would be better to spend that additional time on the future content, rather than bringing new types of purchasable content out this year. Can't find the original promise, but as he acknowledges it there that should be enough for you.

Changing priorities and dropped are entirely different things.

So to repeat what dropped promised content ?.

LEP holders will be getting 7/8ths of Jack going forward.

I consider my 'investment' in the LEP in the same way as someone who bought Poocoin at the top I.E I've pretty much done my balls cold, chalk one up to experience. Once you accept this, life in general becomes easier.

When Frontier sold the LEP seasons weren't a thing. The LEP simply said owners would be entitled to all 'expansions', which they still are.
The Horizons and beyond seasons were expansions, and whatever new features and content Frontier sells in the future, whatever the monetization model, will be equally covered.

Nothing has changed.

Things have changed. The funding model has changed to selling virtual tat on the frontier store to fund the game. They used the up front LEP money to build other games with. If I’d known they were going to do that I’d not have bought a LEP.

Anyway it seems devopment of Elite is back on track so I’m not as disgruntled now. I’d never buy anything like a LEP from them for any other product though because I don’t trust them anymore.

What? Where was this community request to drop promised content, be keen to see that.

Zac promised it for this year, then they changed priorities.

Promise? I'll tell you what was a promise: to give you for free every expansion they might release for the game. A promise they haven't broken.
Zac's post was just an announcement that they would release some paid-for content during the year. Obviously they changed their plants, but I don't see how that's in any way breaking their promise. Breaking their promise would be releasing that content without letting LEP owners get it for free.

What, other than Horizons, has been announced as a paid expansion with an ETA?

Frontier cannot control the expectations of individuals, often based on assumptions made from what they have read, both official and unofficial.

Weasel words.

Correction to that, Zac's post was an *assurance*, specifically :

"rest assured that the lifetime expansion pass owners will be looked after and will be getting their hands on premium content as part of their lifetime expansion pass before the end of 2018"

I mean that's quite reassuring isn't it, LEP owners will be looked after?

So what happened to that assurance, in no way was it fulfilled.

In fact end of 2018 LEP owners had to argue the toss on here for just some sort of update, at which point we were told "plans had changed".

Well thanks for that.

This is a company that thinks they are entitled to people's money, that they can take people's cash and don't have to deliver jack.

They have to deliver: they must deliver every paid expansion until the end of the game's life to LEP owners for free.

I'm sure your LEP paid for almost a whole dinosaur.

Does it really work?

Never, entitled people either meltdown about silence or simply make things up.

Speaking of which, did you LEP guys ever get that cool 3D Anaconda model that's like a partially cutaway for the interior or something? I'm curious, I've always wanted to see an actual picture of that thing

That's not true. Im an LEP owner and I've never told anyone.

One of the reasons for having LEP was so I never needed to worry about justifying paying for a DLC. I am a touch disappointed that there has only been one DLC so far. The question over the value will only be answered when FD finished developing ED, until then I am happy to see how things develop.
