I;ve had the idea of a PF and a shadow PF, for the pirates. You sign up for "law enforcement" and you sign up for PvP fair game. All systems. Everywhere. For the pirates who are PF pilots who signed up for the shadow organisation. Who signed up for PvP fair game. All systems. Everywhere. For the lawmen.

There you go. Two "sides". Pirates want just mercenaries as well. Thugs and strongarms. And a libertarian paradise like the ED Pilots' Federation is would not balk at getting violent thugs and strongarms for "black ops".

If you want legit PvP, if you want that AND PP, if you want all of that AND BGS, don't care. If you don't have what you want, you can leave for a game that gives you what you want. You have that right. Nobody will stop you. Most won't miss you. But you have no right to pss in people's noodles for not getting your way.

Also, Powerplay rewards some of them are tied to BGS. Sometimes Powerplayers work the BGS for federal and Imperial systems, many others too.

They are tied together. Player factions complain about it quite often.

A while back, the Dev's changed nomenclature. Factions are not called 'minor factions' any longer. PMF's are understood to mean Player Made Factions. But, once made, they are just like any other Faction. NPC's one and all. The Name and some 'color' details of a PMF are chosen from a list by the maker, after that, there is no difference at all.

The only way to affect a Faction, of any stripe, is through the PvE activities associated with the BGS. With that, all means to defend any Faction are also, through the PvE activities associated with the BGS.

I think what PvP needs is a their own game mode. Something where they could just go about it and fight, without worrying about credits or anything. As if they were in some sort of arena. Equal ships for everyone, only your skill matters.

Not Power Play. Entities within Power Play are called, surprisingly enough, Powers. Powers cannot be created like PMFs, but players can Pledge to them, and do PvE activities in order to promote their power. Recently enough, the Dev's made some P&G exemptions for PP opponent driven PvP.

Im a griefer because thats what I am labelled as trying to play the game legitimately.

If I was really a griefer I would have nuked mobius by now.

I would have used in game hacks. Or combat log on people.

Im a griefer because people dont understand the game. And when people try to explain it to them.

People end up understanding it. But they dont want to be affected themselves while attacking someone else behind the scenes.

So people that dont understand give PVP in general a bad name. Others label people a griefer when all they asked for was to be able to defend their BGS systems.

Since I cannot do that. I do wing fights with friends, or gank people at CG's.

My og post is 100% honest. I love this game and I do enjoy combat in it and I would love to see Fdev add even more to it in the way mining was just upgraded. I would love to see PvP get some meaning and some kind of rewards. I'm not demanding anything, this thread is just wishful thinking and to see how many people agree with me, which turns out to be quite a few.

Sure there's a few non combat players on here that loathe the idea of Fdev even spending a second of their time on combat in this game and they have made their opinions loud and clear but there are many, MANY people who enjoy pve and pvp and would love to see more done with it.

But dude, trying to say that this thread is entitled and demanding is just pathetic. Do better.
