Same here, it was still amazing though. I had my wife record the initial jumping moment with other fellow cmdrs. I had seen a video from the first expedition, witchspace screen lasting around 3 mins but jumping successfully in the end.
I'm not even sure if i actually managed to jump or not.
I doubt numbers will be much higher than the 3.3 launch, and they evidently did zilch with that.
Feel sorry for Brett and the tech guys, this is normally the kind of stuff a director or some such higher-up should come and explain whats what.

I honestly think FD deserves a little trolling from us.

I'm thinking about asking for a refund for the paintkit that I bought for my ship for this event..... Disappointed... very disappointed... this is newbies mistake... and you're now celebrating 25 years of development....
Thats probably why they are fixing server issues on a sunday evening, instead of waiting until monday morning.
Hey DW2 people stop screwing up the servers. I want to play !
Maybe because they never designed it for that many players to jump at once?

It appears that way (and I didn't realise this happened tonight, otherwise would've probably avoided logging in to be honest).
I was on a roll mining Void Opals, one Core rock after the other... if I lose my cargo because the game didn't save correctly, my goody-two-shoes CMDR will turn into an explorer hunter out for revenge.
Have you all tried turning the servers off and then on again?
