That CMDR is Tilt Controls, another SDC member. We're very good at what we do, and you'd best believe we have plans for them.
Lets hear it for the liberal intelligentsia!Zarek Null tried to broker a peace with the upper echelon of the exploration community, but after being denigrated by said upper echelon, the liberal intelligentsia swooped in and shut the talks down.
You are not as funny/ intelligent/ witty/ important as you think you are. You're a damn scrub and Im pretty sure this comment from you gave me cancer (i'll bill you).
I wish the "super skilled" lads that "PVP" the menacing explorers would instead try thargoid combat. Though that may require getting out of a FDL
Rinzler killed a Hydra with a ** FDS, so better not say they are scrubs, seriously.
That's what SDC does. They need awesome CMDRs like those in Fuel rats or Corgies and through them they want to draw attention to themselves. As they did now. DWE2 is a great event, so it will draw them out of the woodwork, trying to piggyback some attention of them.
They're a sideshow. Always were, always will be.
They know, but what are they going to do? Ask every 11,000 CMDRs if they are a sleeper agent?
Frontier won't restore CMDRs who fly into the sun. But if some gankiewanker goes all the way to Beagle Point, destroys a CMDR, it will be glorious when Frontier just reinstates the CMDR. All that effort of flying across the galaxy, and all they can achieve is a slight inconvenience.
[haha]
No, you really couldn't.
You can determine whether someone's a scrub by checking if they're on the passenger side of their best friends ride. Trying to holler at me.
Well, there's plenty of threads and information about it, the problem was rather than 30-40% of the registrations came only 2-3 weeks before takeoff, and a large number of the joiners are first time explorers, and there's plenty of new players that bought it at the sale in December. They're still trying to figure out what engineering is about. They *know*, and yet continued to give *standard* advice for putting together a ship for the Expedition? They *know,* and yet they didn't push for people to build ships that can survive long enough to run, or even put up a fight in numbers?

In December, the registration was only a few thousand (2-3,000 I think it was), then in the past 2 weeks, it was almost like a new 1000 players per day.
It is what it is, the Massacre at Pallaeni is now just a memory.
They didn't push for defensible builds, since you don't need defensible builds in a private group. They pushed for CMDRs to go into Private Groups. Some CMDRs didn't heed that advice, and they are responsible for the choices they made. They *know*, and yet continued to give *standard* advice for putting together a ship for the Expedition? They *know,* and yet they didn't push for people to build ships that can survive long enough to run, or even put up a fight in numbers? I think this is the point that 777Driver was trying to get across, but it got missed - a mass shooter is less likely to ply their trade in a location where they know everyone is armed, and it doesn't matter if they know how to shoot or not.
This is where the leadership has utterly failed, Ziggy, and Frontier even gave them the best tools in the shed for the job - the Kraits. You can build either version to be reasonably fast, reasonably armed, and reasonably defended, while still having a jump range somewhere north of 50 light years.
With most of the ships being in standard Exploration fit, the wolves don't need to bring PvP Death Machines - they can just bring exactly what I just described, and have the same net effect.
If disaster strikes later this year (and I am fairly certain that it will), the leadership will only have themselves to blame. They should have known, and they should have encouraged all participants to build for it. Had they done so, then the onus would be on the individuals who did not take that advice.
Please don't try to tell me that they pushed for defensible builds, Ziggy. I spent enough time in the Exploration forum to know that that simply isn't true.

(except for the npc-crew, if any,Massacre? Not a single CMDR died on that day![]()
I've read variations on this comment several times now, and I'm left wondering why you think that someone flying long distance to snap selfies is so much better or "less pathetic" than someone flying 20,000 ly to blow someone up. News flash guys: it's all a huge waste of time, regardless of which team you're playing for. Anyone with more than two iq points to rub together is going to be spending the same amount of time playing with their kids, romancing their wife or simply learning Photoshop. Explorers don't get special unicorn status just because they exist, and the activities that they engage in are no more nor less special than anyone else's. In fact, it's probably the lowest skill activity in the game, so let's drop the glamorizing.
Here's some comments from the last 3 pages of the big DWE2 thread, from CMDRs who are actually on the trip.By the way ... I see a lot of non-participants blaming the organisers. I haven't seen a participant blaming the organisers. While it's the participants who were affected.
So far... I haven't heard much complaints at all. Most participants accepted their fate, I think, and not making a big issue of it.By the way ... Don't be an idiot, am not glamorizing anything.. Of course it is all a waste of time, this is a computer game, this entire discussion is a waste of time. However, there is obviously a difference between dedicating a massive amount of time to join an expedition for it's intended purpose, and hijacking an expedition so you can brag about flying across the galaxy just to shoot a bunch of newbies..
Like I have said multiple times, no issues with PvPer's or Gankers in the bubble. Flying across the galaxy to do it? Trust me I was being tame when I used the word pathetic..
At least Zarek is a straight up super nerd, some of his followers seem to think they are genuine gangsters. Get out of the house lads...
That's not the kind of defensible builds we were talking about. If you want to take part in meetings or any kind of planetary landings, adequate shields and thrusters are also necessary. From experience I know those are enough to evade NPCs.Apparently you do, Zig.
If your build is bad that you have to menu log on NPCs and can't remember if your thrusters are strong enough to do their job, then it's time to re-evaluate your outfitting logic.
